Dance Africa DC 2018 performance by Farafina Kan Denu and Youth company. Farafina Kan is professional intergenerational West African Drum and Dance Company based in Washington, DC. Farafina Kan is available for performances and offers drum and dance classes for all ages at our home studio:

Baba Mahiri Fadjimba Keita is the founder and artistic director for Farafina Kan. Mama Nkenge Cunningham is the director for the Denu dancers and Mama Lesina Martin is the director for the Youth and junior company dancers. The Farafina Kan Denu are ages 5 - 9 and the youth and junior company are ages 9 - 18. Farafina Kan has been participating in Dance Africa DC since 2004 however it's members have been participating for much longer with other companies in the DC area.
