Honestly, KD Lang is one of my formative crushes, she’s probably had a massive influence in what I find attractive in a woman. And she’s an extremely underrated singer, her voice is pure gold.

I live in a small town and we don't get too many live shows here but KD stopped here several years back (probably because we were a convenient place to stop for the night). Even though performing in front of a few hundred people probably wasn't making them much money, KD was amazing. Best show I've ever been to even though her style of music isn't my favorite. She came across as very natural and nice. She was performing bare foot and I spent much of the show worrying that she would step on something and hurt herself.
Oh...I sure remember seeing her during her tour to support Ingenue. Paramount Theatre in Oakland CA. Sitting in about the 8th row. Opening number was from Absolute Torch and Twang if I recall correctly. First note she sang just about blew the hair off my head. Truly one of the top 5 concerts I have seen...and I've seen a lot. I really understood what you said, Imagine being in the shower one day and singing and realising you have that vibratto'. I saw K D in concert in London. She so Brilliant. Reminds me so much of Karen Carpenter - with an earthier undertone.

If you can find her cover of Hallelujah from Leonard Cohen's induction into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame -- it's an incredible version of his song with some lyrics that most singers don't use. i was fortunate enough to hear him sing it live in Las Vegas. Her version is in my top 3, along with Pentatonix.

It’s sad to me that Kd didn’t get the credit she deserved especially with American country music back in the 80-90s. Times are changing finally and she would be exciting to have. I grew up with a dad who, if he found out someone was gay he wouldn’t listen to them- no matter how talented. So I have very vivid memory of being very young and kd on the tv, I actually thought she was a boy, and my dad said no that’s a (something offensive I refuse to repeat). Anyway long story short I was always intrigued by her because I heard Crying a few years later and just have always loved her voice and yes she seems really nice, cool. I’m glad to be a grown up now that isn’t hindered by that gross judge mental attitude

I went to a party once full of liberal/socialist victims ( nightmare ) what a depressing bunch, then I heard KD Lang sing So In Love from Red Hot & Blue and her voice cut through crap , arrested me with that voice. Ingenue was released soon after and I’ve loved her ever since then.I’ve been holding out for a new album but disappointed that we got the Dance Remix with no original material. Still love her.

K.D. Lang's an amazing singer. Very haunting voice. I'm old enough to remember when MTV was actually all about the music. I miss those days!
