Let’s be clear about what we’re actually talking about. 1. Water on earth is very nearly conserved. Water transpired by plants ends up in clouds. Water flushed down the toilet is filtered and returns to lakes and rivers. 2. Almost all water on earth is saltwater. The oceans cover the vast majority of earths area. Saltwater is energy intensive to turn into freshwater. 3. Water evaporated in one place usually ends up somewhere else because of wind. Some places preferentially accumulate precipitation and others do not. Surface water flows from land to ocean. So altogether it looks something like this: locally, places that are dry do not receive much rainfall because of geography. If they allow water to evaporate or flow away then it does not return to that location. Globally, the total precipitation on land is driven from evaporation over the oceans. Some evaporation over land will end up back in the oceans. If the land allows total evaporation and outflow to increase then some of this will fall in the oceans.
I find this talk very interesting, however I find it necessary to remember that large companies are the ones that should be better regulated, I am from Chile and here the water resources are being exploited by mining companies, farmers and foresters, so do not forget that while we save water there is companies that spend millions of liters per month for the interest of some old billionaires
This is so well delivered and presented. I have gotten a lot out of this. I am using it for information for a sale I am doing on a waterless vehicle cleaning system. . Thank you 🇺🇸🎁
It's because this isn't a good presentation, like most presentations about water. If you want to sensibilise people, you have to talk about the problem, not only talking about consequences and the amount of water we can save. At some point it sounds like it wasn't even rehearsed, she asks some rethorical questions and acts weird when no one is answering like when she said "I guess it's only me". It's not only you, but the audience is not engaged properly and confused about what's going on. You start talking about the water we could save, but never talk about WHY that is important and what difference does it actually make if we don't save water. Yeah, I guess we could save that amount of water every year, but why? What happens when we don't save water? Why doesn't it follow the water cycle that has been going on for thousands of years? What is actually happening that we should be aware of? Those are the questions I'd expect someone to answer, not to tell me how many elephants of water I could save every year. I can guarantee that if someone would actually explain what's going on and why water is going to disappear, instead of just being angry at people not saving it, it would have billions of views.
A timely warning to act when it is already late. There is a need here to conserve the numerous micro water harvesting structures created and maintained by indigenous communities , for rainwater going waste ,rather than build ecologically invasive mega dam structures .
The run off at the channel are much higher than you brush your teeth without closing the tap. Spela Kustelj mentioned 3 methods of saving water as an individual. What about from a macro point of view that she has not mentioned what government can do save water from leaking pipes?
Water conservationist please I wonder how you take a dump do you take it outside or in a nice pretty clean toilet with fresh water. How did you take a shower today how did you take that make up off.... Let me know when you're serious about water conservation
i am 9 and my teacher made me watch this
Wow! You have a good teacher. I'm 31 and still learning. You know just as much about the world as me hahaha.

a great way to make people realize that water conservation is important. well said :)

@@ItsJoeHut wow u sound professional.
Any tips what not to do or any thing to advice for my school interview?
She only touched a part of the solutions that she could find as an individual.
@@ItsJoeHut instead of women talking about nothing..we use them for these issues. It's like a beauty pageant but in the business world.

Government does everything to do save water if we are only not following the rules then what they are going do.
