I wish there was more documentation on creating a srcds server for csgo_legacy branch; You'd think such a popular game would have people coming back in NA to actually play some classic competitive or classic casual CS:GO, but no such servers exist, its all surf, bhop, deathmatch etc. What if i literally just want to play a damn defusal match? that experience is gone. I tried to make a classic GO server with the CS2 730 server client, with -beta csgo_legacy, but it doesn't seem like it can work, it also seems like the 740 CSGO server client doesn't connect anymore either.
this has been happening to a bunch of ppl, most had to wait about a day and it came back (if steam restart didnt work). can try verify files or reinstall, but it may resolve itself
@@Repster Thanks for the reply mate. I haven't been able to run CS2 on my PC very well (30/40 fps even on the lowest settings is pretty common for me outside of maps like Dust) so I'm glad they added a legacy option at least. Hopefully the launch options prompt will pop back up eventually.
@@nood1le Yeah. I was getting 60+ fps in CSGO but in CS2 it's usually around 40-45 with dips into the early 30s on some of the more performance heavy maps. It's pretty annoying lol.
Bruh you have to download the whole csgo legacy again if you switch the launch option back to none and switch it to the legacy again. Its just so ridiculous that you have to download the file again like why is it not saved??
this isnt supposed to happen, but ive seen a ton of ppl with the same issue. You should only have to install once. Ive heard it goes away after a couple days but, try restarting steam and validating files, if it persists.
The game now appears in my library as "Counter-Strike 2 [csgo_legacy]", but I don't have the CSGO Legacy option when I launch the game. I already restarted Steam.
When I try to log into the community servers, I get the error "connection failed after 30 retries". I would appreciate it if someone who knows could help me.

Could be because of your hardware configuration (bad pc specs) or that you selected to start the legacy version. right click on cs2, properties, betas>betas participation>none then you can cancel the window and try again.

When I launch legacy CSGO, the server browser is still empty after refresh. RIP! Valve took 1 step forward and 3 steps back with this one.

that sounds weird, which IP are you trying to connect to? (just put server name, otherwise youtube will remove the comment)
