I did it! I finally remade this video i did 7 years ago! Back then there was only Sailor Moon Crystal and I don't even remember if the entire series was out. And last time my awesome friend helped use her magic to cut the song from 5:20 minutes to 2:40!
Bet you weren't expecting so much action from Sailor Moon! They had some tough battles in this series. And the new Cosmos movie going to show a lot more!
You will see I left very small parts the same. That was because it worked so well in the original. Some of them tweak to include all of the scouts. This was a lot more work in after effects and using red bullet effects again. My computer some days hated me. I also added some color correction to try and help blend all of it in better. Considering there are 3 or 4 different animation styles in this video. Also more practice in blurs and transitions.

This is the best Sailor Moon & Sailor Moon Crystal AMV I have ever seen. This one takes the cake and the crown. Mind-blowing work. Thank you for redoing the already amazing previous one.
I've had this playing on repeat for about the whole day because of the great song choice + amazing clips and editting and the amount of work and detail that must have went into this
The transitions look so smooth and honestly it took me a few views to realize its because you literally cut out parts of backgrounds and had them fade in, to make the attacks/characters overlap with the prior clip, and then I went frame-by-frame through multiple of them just to admire the attention to detail (especially at 4:48, Mars' individual hair strands, wow)
Big fan of the narrative too, 'you'd expect the wise to be wiser' both times showing the outer's refusal to work with the inners, 'fallen from grace and all' focused on their talismans that summon Sailor Saturn to destroy the world, 'I guess we should have known better' in contrast focuses on the inners. "You and us, or I am them," where the outers explain to Serenity they're meant to work alone while Serenity tries to bring them together, "There comes a time to take a stand" progressing through the outers working alone to Usagi uniting all 9 guardians. "Like a curse, a trojen horse" as the sickly Hotaru gets visions of the outers that want her dead for reasons she didn't chose and doesn't know, while she's also unknowningly hosting Mistress 9. Then after the musical interlude where Sailor Moon flies into Pharoh 90, the chorus 'what about us, isn't it enough' focusing on the other sailor guardians as they flash back to happy memories of Usagi as they're left unable to do anything, upset at being unable to save her, and the triumphant 'but its all we want and its all that we're fighting for' as everyone lends their power to Usagi
And the attack and action and clips chosen in general just look so good together, and the syncing of the clips with the music (especially the ending, "what about us, what about us, what about us", where Usagi rises with each repeat of "what about us", and on "us" cutting to one of her friends each time). The colour filter also makes all three art styles look actually coherent together

My older version of this video someone left a comment not really understanding how this song fits sailor moon. I was screaming internally. What do you mean how!?!?!?! Lol

I randomly thought about this recently my original version of this AMV from 7 years ago. Someone did not agree with this combination. I remember they said "what about them?" And he just didn't see the match lol. So I really appreciate this comment more and more. Haha
I love this anime.
Anime which is far from being "candy pink color", Sailor Moon Crystal is filled with moments of sadness and happiness which is what makes the charm of this anime.
