    This is the first video I clicked to understand the concept of solar and lunar eclipse. It saved my time as now I don't have to look for further videos on this.
    Very lucidly explained and the animation is also great. 👍

    Excellent!! In one video you have tackled at least three things:
    1) Solar & lunar eclipse including light refraction. 2) What old civilisations thought it was and how due to science we now know better. 3) Even thousands of years ago this was one of the signs philosophers used to know the earth is spherical.

    Oh how great to check this material. So convenient that the sun is exactly at the required distance to match on perspective the size of the moon. What are the odds for that. How nice right? I wonder if you can also bring an explanation when a solar eclipse and a moon eclipse happen at the same time as has been recorded many times. that would be awesome. Thanks for your effort!

    2:20 When the two types of shadows cast by the sun are being explained, why are they depicted as triangles? Why not as a single cylindrical shadow with straight edges? Like a 2D tube?
    Is the sun a discriminating laser beam of some sort?

    • @AstralApple
      @AstralApple 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexfarias5156 Amen

    • @sailorman8668
      @sailorman8668 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AstralApple The purpose of the diagram at 2:23, is just to illustrate how the sun's light will be obscured by the moon, creating the different types of shadows on the earth's surface.
      It's rather naive of you to then state, based on this diagram, that there was ever any intention to suggest that the sun is funneling its light into a point.
      The sun's light is being created over its entire surface obviously and shining in all directions.
      If you still don't understand what the intention of the diagram is and why the different shadows are being created, this isn't because there's anything wrong with what's being explained and shown in the animation, but a lack of understanding on your part - YOU are the problem here, not the video.

      Where did you get this strange idea from that the moon shouldn't be able to be seen during the daytime.
      You're not one of these ignorant fools that actually thinks that the moon only 'comes out' at night? LOL.

  • @burnbabyburn-od5sy

    then why do we see a half moon during the day when moon and sun in same part of sky

    • @alexfarias5156
      @alexfarias5156 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because earth is not round and were not rotating around the sun. This is all a lie, the sun and the moon are the same size and they are much smaller than earth.

    Wow look at all that complexity in science. There's no way a random explosion billions of years ago put everything in just the right place. And everything has a job to perform with necessary results for sustained survival on just *one* planet (earth). Everything out there was strategically placed there by somebody. Our universe is a carefully crafted system, obviously from this video that actually just scratches the surface. There is a creator. That proves it. Great video!🪐🌠

    • @sailorman8668
      @sailorman8668 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, but there is so much randomness in the universe, that occasionally, a suitable planet will form at a suitable distance from a suitable star in order for life to propagate and continue.
      You can take your indoctrinated opinion and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

    • @zulubeatsprince
      @zulubeatsprince ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Lol, what an odd conclusion considering the billions of planets not carefully crafted for life.. It's like marveling at a bullseye shot while completely ignoring millions of shots that were missed.

    • @HarpazoReady2022
      @HarpazoReady2022 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zulubeatsprince If all the planets were created from the same big bang, then why isn’t there life on ALL of them just like earth? And why are all the planets different? Why is earth the only one that humans can live on? How did humans get on just one? 🌎

    • @zulubeatsprince
      @zulubeatsprince ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @HarpazoReady2022 what? Even weirder question.. thats like asking why is every continent on earth different... You really dont even understand the big bang theory to begin with and we dont know that earth is the only planet that can support life. I would suggest learning more about it with an open mind and not just trying to confirm some bias you have.

    • @sailorman8668
      @sailorman8668 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually, the moon does 'rotate' - it's known as synchronous rotation, where the period of rotation is equal to the time it takes to complete one orbit of the earth.
      This is due to the phenomenon known as 'tidal locking'.
