7:30 As a native Korean and English speaker, that translation is pretty on point.
If it is as smooth and snappy as you said, it seems pretty promising, although your conversation in this video is an information-based, straightforward one. So I wonder how it would be on contextual or emotional conversations?

As a native English speaker who speaks conversational Korean, I don't quite follow what you mean... I can't see any missing articles in the English translation, and obviously Korean doesn't have any articles. Did you mean it was missing the "too" when it translated "카메라도"?

I'm a 6th grade social studies teacher, and every other Friday, I do current events. I included this phone's release as one of the stories they could write up, and as I was explaining it, they got every bit as excited as I was. I work at a very ethnically diverse school, and it got them captivated because someone who speaks only Spanish in an ELD (Language Arts) can converse with someone who only speaks French, when otherwise, they'd be isolated. We're actually planning on using this technology, but it was a pleasant surprise to see that it's included in the phone. Would make my job WAY easier at times. I still have an S21 Ultra, and with the prices I've seen, I might upgrade, honestly.

I know my mom would love the automatic translations done by the keyboard in her messaging apps. She does occasionally get contacted by people who only speak English in which she is rusty in, and often asks me to translate messages for her and even respond back. She'd never have to do that again, the phone would just translate messages for her and even translate her responses. That's so useful and actually has real use case! That's the kind of AI advancements I was hoping we'd see someday and it is finally here :)

I am using an iphone 15 pro max right now, which I can still return, and I now plan to for the s24. the main thing I hate about the iphone is how much like a kids toy it feels. Like what the fuck is up with these rounded corners? Like they are aggressively rounded. Like give me a fucking rectangle how hard is that. Thankfully the Ultra kept it premium by not copying iphone. Sure the s24 has the rounded corners, but it says a lot that their premium device does not have it. It's like they are shitting on the iphone saying the rounded corners are the cheap option, but the real premium option is to have a fucking rectangle. Man that "This is all a theory, a lens theory" is a very nice and subtle way to give a shoutout to MatPat and the theorist channels!

the note edge came out in 2014, so it took them 10 years to fully remove the edge on their phones.

that kind of design while it looks cool, its really not practical to use and those reflections annoying.

I use the 10x camera more than the others combined.
My favourite subjects, wild birds and bugs, don't often like me being too close.
With strong natural light you can get a good pic with the 10x of a dragonfly 1,5m away without it flying away.

Same. The 10x camera is one of the coolest smartphone techs out there - why they would remove it is insane.
