I almost never hear triplets adding anything musical but Remco nails how they should be used. Really nice to see this skill being additive and not just showboating. Nicely done...again!! 👏
This guy is just a water drinker... and when u know what water is.. really.... ...water is liquid cristal that connect with GOD. Sorry for my bad english
As a drummer I thank you for playing these to a drum machine because it gives me something to jam to... Yes I'm the geek that straps on his headphones and plays along.
Man - I just got home after an hour commute through traffic. That. Is just what I need to settle into so relax time. Really consumed my mind listening and watching. Awesome man!!!!
I've seen you play many different bases and I said this before. And I'll say it again the Jazz Bass has a sound that no other base can replicate you are the greatest incredible technique
That one has a Claypool-esque feel, coming from me, that is a compliment. There's so much I struggle with to even hope to ever get where you are... Having played without an amp for over 18 years (out of consideration for my relatives and my neighbours), finding accceptable equalization is the first hurdle I need to cross...
I sure wanna thanks you Remco Hendrix for being a part of my life while I'm still kicking I'm still infected with Covid 19 lungs hurt faint sometimes.... 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 Jam Remco bang that Bass Guitar Up...
Man oh man... It's not every day that I am so blown away by musicians I've just discovered - especially not if I'd discovered them over TH-cam - but you, my good sir, are absolutely, speechlessly astounding! Wow, wow, and wow.
Your great man.. great technique...My son uses that technique...I have never known anyone else but him that plays that way...great sound..love it...reminds me a bit of Primus as well.
Besides your most excellent soul stirring grooves (subbed by this new fan:) I mainly wanted to comment on what looks like a nice collection of vinyl directly under your axe collection...*brings memories of 72-73 playing bass and drums with friends jamming...long ago. Thank you
My god you get some killer tone outta that ol' Jazzer! Just the right bite and growl, and your clean playing (with a little help from that excellent comp) is so inspiring! Could I ask what strings (brand and gauge) you're using? Those 2 finger mutes you play around 4:37 are so killer and a testament to your unique right hand technique! Lovin' it!
Nice job, Remco! Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how you do the drums? They sound 'real' and I would love to know just how you go about it.
***** Thanks dude! I guess everyone has their own little ways of doing things, I'd be very interested to know exactly how you do your drum tracks as I have BFD2 and don't really use it as perhaps I should. I really enjoy your playing, my friend, keep it up! All the best :)
Thanks Cruz, much appreciated! Love 'em both :) My main fretted basses have maple necks 'cause I'm digging the attack & punch I'm getting from it, perfect for funk imo, but for stuff like soul or r&b I do play rosewood. When it comes to fretless I prefer rosewood for the warmer tone & sustain for vibrato & that "mwah" sound, but I'm on the lookout for an unlined 70's maple jazz as well 'cause of it's tonal characteristics :) So yeah I'm glad I can choose & love the variety! Cheers for stopping by!
