Summarize data EASILY with the GROUPBY function in Excel!

This new function is a huge deal and will massively simplify what used to involve some quite complex LAMBDA functions.

What if you use VSTACK(YearColHeader,YEAR(YearColDatabody)) for the first argument on that? I don't have Groupby yet so i can't test it out.

Pinned this comment to note that my comment in the video at 06:00 is not accurate. It's not necessarily true that applying custom functions to headers will result in an error. I suspect the error here is due to applying the YEAR function to the word "OrderDate" (the header of the OrderDate column in vSales).
As correctly pointed out by Ismail, this returns the word "OrderDate" in the first column header:
=GROUPBY(HSTACK(VSTACK(vSales[[#Headers],[OrderDate]],YEAR(vSales[OrderDate])),vSales[[#All],[Category]:[SubCategory]]),vSales[[#All],[SalesAmount]],HSTACK(SUM,MAX),3)

I wouldn't go that far just yet 😂
Certainly it will mean lots of people will stop using Pivot Tables in favor of the functions, but I doubt Pivot Tables would ever be removed entirely.
