@WFK92 He is probably tuning with an AEM EMS. The aem doesnt send the correct voltage to the dash so it doesnt work unless you get the Modifry temp guage fix.
That video was done on a dyno obviously. Since the amount of load on the engine is not the same as when on the street the car will rev like that. Even more so when your pushing 700 freaking hp. Jesus what a beast!
To answer your question about the engine being cold. My turbo s2000 has a stand alone aem ecu which doesn't display the correct temp on cluster. Like myself I have another gauge showing me my temp. I'm sure he was warmed up
i got questions: firstly, changing the exhaust of a Honda S2000 (or any year to) a uumm "muffler" just makes the car louder or must i also change the engine... secondly is it possible to change Honda S2000's doors to the one's that open going up... instead of to the side...? please respond my inbox or someway and i hear from people that by changing the exhaust to a muffler it takes up extra gas for the DB sound
@patgrm i have to correct you, vtec does work on oil pressure, but when its cold ecu will not turn on the vtec solonoid, tell it reaches the right operating temp
@WFK92 an old honda, like I said, it's a 1.6L, and my other is a 2.5L (typed 2.0 in last message it was a typo) altima, they arent 7.2L V10 (F250? not too sure anymore, I had one but it was quite a while ago) engines, but they sure as hell don't take 15kms, Like i said, when it's -40 the car gets heaten up in less than 5kms so yes, i'd say 15-20 is quite a lot. (none of the 3 i named were taking anything close to 15km)
@WFK92 unless he has fully programmable EMS like me :), but then you have to wait for the car to warm up or you could cause damage to the head...metal on metal no good.
thats about what a F1 car runs (hp/tq). Not a lot of info from this vid. If it peaks at 700hp then it would be around redline and anything bellow that, hp would drop off in an S2000. Imagine 200hp at 3500 and 700 at 8700rpm. The S2000 was made to have the revs high.
@Virtuoso23 It's not that they AREN'T reliable, it's the people that are fixing the cars up don't know WTF they are doing and do it wrong; mainly just causing damage to them and pushing the car way over it's limits and abusing it without properly swapping out the parts you need to most.
the results are mistaked because the dyno test is too little for all the vehicle power... But I can say you that the power at the 4th shift is 450 hp :o
wow 50km/h to 180km/h in 3 ish seconds is insane. thats like 30mph to 120 mph in 3ish seconds. wish my s2k was that fast but then again it wouldnt be very fun on a track. you would never be able to control that thing on a tight cornered scca track.
@womblesmurf they did.............now its a 5.0 id like to see your fuckin honda keep up with that!!!!!! lol jk i love s2000 and stangs all the same v tec screamin vs v eight roarin!
kids who think this hondas can barely hit 500 are girlyboys. honda engines are crazy. they are able to do alot more than wat many would think they can. it's not that hard to boost a honda engine to 700hp. u just got to know wat u doin and know how to tune it right or go to the right place to get it tuned.
You look way into things. The comment was a reply to numbers someone posted. It good to know you had something constructive to add. Also, I've owned a stock S2000 for almost 5 years now.... If thats rice, the please pass the soy.
@saintluke87 Who said Honda are crap? I have two of them, and are great cars, I also wrote to Honda try to work for them as a car mechanic. But i HATE tuned cars, and I HATE with all the forces cars who have 3 times the power of the stock version. I bet a 700 HP S 2000 is totally unreliable, as well as I bet that a stock S 2000 can run 200.000 miles if regularly serviced.
stock internals? omy god...i know one,guy from Japan drive the s2000 full moded to 500+hp and have no problems....hehehehe Honda is Honda...but turbo...hm...much power for a little banger...
@TrainedIndian Do some research. You'd be surprised by how much you can learn from forums and google. Once you've done said research you can then decide what's best for you. There are so many variations of power, torque and "gas mileage" gains. Too many considering you've not told us your chosen application, be it racing, drifting or just daily driving. I think I've explained my point, but if you can afford an S2K; you can buy a whole exhaust system and not just a "muffler".
But as he said a week ago.... They cant turn for shit, and they only one that can turn, the corvette, has a suspension set up from an late 1880s horse pulled wagon. So yeah going straight is one thing and yes american cars will destroy everything going straight, but when it comes to steering, I guess were gonna have to leave it up to the foreigners.
haha i was looking at all these videos with s2000 that had a 2jz swapp. i miss-clicked on this one and didnt read the title before i watched and commented on it ha. but still this isnt 700hp. 350 at most
Hey kid, go watch pokemon's. More than 99% Civic's CRXs, Del-sol's,, all over the world are not heavier than 2000pounds. The lightest CRX is from GAS Motorsport which have 1600 pounds with driver and fuel, and have near 900whp on 2.5-2.7 bars (K20A forged parts)
whats the point in having a power band that small? nothing for about 7k rpms then full bost by 8 and change gear at 9, typical dyno queen cars.... all head line figures and no substance....
@WFK92 He is probably tuning with an AEM EMS. The aem doesnt send the correct voltage to the dash so it doesnt work unless you get the Modifry temp guage fix.
redline when the engines cold. sounds like a smart move
That video was done on a dyno obviously. Since the amount of load on the engine is not the same as when on the street the car will rev like that. Even more so when your pushing 700 freaking hp. Jesus what a beast!
Great observation.
To answer your question about the engine being cold. My turbo s2000 has a stand alone aem ecu which doesn't display the correct temp on cluster. Like myself I have another gauge showing me my temp. I'm sure he was warmed up
@speedfuzion honda is, idk about the altima, but i've had dohc cars and it was just the same..
yeah definitely gotta wait til it's warmed up before running it that hard!
el tablero que trai el s2000 esta chingon de a madres
i got questions: firstly, changing the exhaust of a Honda S2000 (or any year to) a uumm "muffler" just makes the car louder or must i also change the engine... secondly is it possible to change Honda S2000's doors to the one's that open going up... instead of to the side...? please respond my inbox or someway and i hear from people that by changing the exhaust to a muffler it takes up extra gas for the DB sound
+2 not saying that this s2000 does have 700hp. But if you are running the aem ems the temp gauge doesnt work with out the modifry temp correction.
have to use different oil when turbocharging at such high PSI. Sometimes takes 25 minutes to warm up.
@patgrm i have to correct you, vtec does work on oil pressure, but when its cold ecu will not turn on the vtec solonoid, tell it reaches the right operating temp
actually the first ever D1GP event won by an american was with a mustang gt, it was vaugh gittin jr from team falken
What is the HP range when you should start using a standalone ECU?
And when should you chip an ECU?
ah thx for that info
@thewog29 i bet you he's running aem ems with out the engine temp fix kit
yeah ive done it once but never again...coz i was in a rush knew it wasnt good though...yeah this would have to be warm by the sound of it...
actually it is cool :D
@ChingMan09 Loool, that'd be fun I'm sure.
the new mustang gt is not ugly or slow, they use it for professionnal racing and drifting
wat u guys think the mpg is on it?
what cluster is that?
On jack stands or a dyno, it still acclerates dumb quick.
@WFK92 I have a 1.6L and it doesn't take nearly as close as 20km o.O neither does my 2.0L, even when it's -40 outside
something's wrong with the temp gauge...coz my s2000 with it being that cold the V-tec cuts off at 6000rpm
@squirrely911 lol! I'm sure it's 400+, but I like your comment anyways.
@WFK92 unless he has fully programmable EMS like me :), but then you have to wait for the car to warm up or you could cause damage to the head...metal on metal no good.

20 km in winter? you're joking?
i agree
wow 50km/h to 180km/h in 3 ish seconds is insane. thats like 30mph to 120 mph in 3ish seconds. wish my s2k was that fast but then again it wouldnt be very fun on a track. you would never be able to control that thing on a tight cornered scca track.

v tec screamin vs v eight roarin!
youcan hear the dyno run down and see the car surge when it comes off boost, careful you might end up looking like a fool !!!!!
YUP YUP SAME HERE!!
@WFK92 exactly what I do :p (oil temp)
Anyone else notice the temp gauge on that s2k ? Its not even warmed up :/
oh yeah i forgot,i just saw one bar and freaked out hahaha.i let mine fully warm up 3 bars though.
GO Vtec CANNON!
vroooomboooooooooomdingdoongbingbinnnnng "drones" bang bang pop bang
I think temp gauge got fucked up and the cluster
kids who think this hondas can barely hit 500 are girlyboys. honda engines are crazy. they are able to do alot more than wat many would think they can. it's not that hard to boost a honda engine to 700hp. u just got to know wat u doin and know how to tune it right or go to the right place to get it tuned.
@CVRealMan agreed
700+ and you only took it to about 112mph?
So he does like 20mph- 120mph in like 5 seconds. Why is this only making 350? May not be 700 but its more than 350.
Keep doing that on a cold motor. You will learn. Unless the gauge is broken
@hatejapanesecars dude... he is on a dyno. did you think before you posted that?
Turbo on a Type-R Honda engine?!? How to RUIN an engine. How much road before road assistance is needed?!? 100, 150 km.?!?
@WFK92 VTEC is so fucking sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
You look way into things. The comment was a reply to numbers someone posted. It good to know you had something constructive to add. Also, I've owned a stock S2000 for almost 5 years now.... If thats rice, the please pass the soy.

Haha, The green in the image never moves because it is on a rolling road mojo...... Not on blocks!!
its in kmh also
stock internals? omy god...i know one,guy from Japan drive the s2000 full moded to 500+hp and have no problems....hehehehe Honda is Honda...but turbo...hm...much power for a little banger...
prove it. show the results, or the car running. give us something!
@TrainedIndian Do some research. You'd be surprised by how much you can learn from forums and google. Once you've done said research you can then decide what's best for you. @Cdek654 let me guess both sohc lol
true.. i'd also add, u gotta have a shit load of money.. lol
it's an s2k cluster
lol i think its only 112 mph not 120 i could be wrong
i call bullshit til i see a graph
lol i didnt know you needed 700hp to go 180 KM/H
wtf the engine is cold!!dont do that!!!lol
700hp my ass.
@TrainedIndian lol, just google "how to be a ricer" and you'll get EXACTLY what you're looking for
@TrainedIndian I hope you're not serious, mate. I mean, what the fuck kinda question is that? You don't deserve an S2K...
too bad this is in KM/H... this dude things no one can tell but look at what is says beside the speed.
180 .. :D
But as he said a week ago.... They cant turn for shit, and they only one that can turn, the corvette, has a suspension set up from an late 1880s horse pulled wagon. not exactly look Im Cuban and I have an Turbo SC400 no big wing no shiny stickers
not a 2jz, not 700hp
are you nuts?? 700hp is enough for "2jz or rb26 engines...f20 or 22 can endure 400hp for still normal driving...
haha i was looking at all these videos with s2000 that had a 2jz swapp. i miss-clicked on this one and didnt read the title before i watched and commented on it ha. but still this isnt 700hp. 350 at most
actually i know of a guy 700hp on a stock f20 daily driven, search s2000 from hell
@TrainedIndian You don't make any sense. I'm done wasting my time...
obviously its bs since he hasn't responded since his last comment
700hp? Why do Honda owners need to bs so much?
@WFK92 vtec should be removed anyways....
cold engine = no vtec
@TrainedIndian BWAHAHAHA
Definitely NOT 700hp....Maybe if you had a 2jz but, you don't
Some people upload some shit
too bad this is in KM/H. Look at what is says beside the speed. you can change the settings in a s2000 to mph to km/h with 1 button. good try.
Thanks captain obvious...
aaaahhhhhhhh, no
whats the point in having a power band that small? nothing for about 7k rpms then full bost by 8 and change gear at 9, typical dyno queen cars.... all head line figures and no substance....
wtf i only heard lik maybe one gear change this is fake, on fucking jack stands for all we know
@hatejapanesecars in 4th.... you could have 1000hp and a shitty gear ratio and only get 100mph.
meme a la on voit bien que ces des gros jambon pour tester un char a froid ... rien de pire pour avoir les mauvais chiffres et le tuner pour rien et de le briser !
wow 110 then 170 lol
aww man cold engine are you serious??? not cool man not cool at all
so noisy..
ive seen honda civics do better than
that 700hp FAIL...
C'est quoi ce banc de merde, l'inertie du poid est beaucoup trop faible pour avoir une mesure précise !! Enfin le banc est pas vraiment adapté a la puissance du s2k...
that's bullshit man, 700 hp wannabe !
And you know that Japanese cars are limited to 180km/h, don't you?
