    Hi
    Could I ask, which machine you would think better for bag making? I don’t use leather. It’s mainly upholstery weight chenille and velvets. My main concern is the layers, probably my maximum layer would be 13mm. And I’ve never had an industrial machine before, so complete novice. Thanks Ali

      The machines are similar. The DDL-8100eH/X has a double capacity bobbin and a less aggressive feed set than the DDL-8700H. Both machines presser foot lift is only 13mm so you will need to make sure the material you are using can compress smaller, or the tension will release when you sew. Please email me at info@sewinggold.com for more information.

    I have a Juki DDL 8100ehx, that I bought for heavy fabric. But I wanna stitch lighter fabrics( cotton, linen) so the stitches are not perfect on that. So can u pls help me out in this situation.

      Check the needle for starter. Occasionally I see customers trying to order DBx1 (16x257) needles when this machine takes DPx5 (135x5). The machine specs state size 16 is the smaller needle. We have used size 14 without an issue. Anything smaller will probably skip stitches.
      You can also change the plate and feed dog to something lighter.

    Hi, just wanted to ask what is the difference between juke 8100e and 8700 h and can I use this for regular cloth sewing.

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use the standard DDL-8100e on regular clothes, but the DDL-8100eH/X is similar to the DDL-8700H. The DDL-8100eH/X and the DDL-8700H are meant for medium to heavy material. The DDL-8100eH/X is a bit lighter then the DDL-8700H, but not by much.

      You can, but you will need to make adjustments to the feed system. Watch this video for info on adjusting the feed system. th-cam.com/video/gXhLduAlpXw/w-d-xo.html

    Can you please suggest whether DDL 8100 eHX is a good choice for Backpacks and Ladies Hand Bags..??

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  ปีที่แล้ว

      It would work, but I would look at the Juki DU-1181N or DNU-1541S first.

    Can we sew regular fabric with DDL 8100ehx with no 14 needle without changing feed dog and plate?

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is regular fabric to you? It can sew medium weight fabric without changing to a lighter feed dog.

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The smallest needle you can use on either machine is a size 14.

    would you say one of these machines is more heavy duty than the other?

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are both similar, but the DDL-8700H is set up with a heavier feed set.

      With the right needles the machines can sew stretch, standard and leather. What are you looking to sew with it?

    Can these machines sew well materials like leather and heavy canvas?

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The short answer is yes, but I would recommend a walking foot machine first. The Juki DU-1181N and either of the DNU-1541 line would be preferred, if you were sticking with a Juki.

    Mana yang terbaik 8100 atau 8700 ?

    • @Sewinggold
      @Sewinggold  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are excellent machines. The DDL-8700H is a bit more heavy duty, but the double capacity bobbin makes the DDL-8100eH/X better in my opinion.
