I am creating an interactive assembly manual with many complex views of exploded assemblies. Our machine assembles are very large to begin with. I'm having issues running the player on "Non SolidWorks Machines" ... or PC that don't have highly optimized graphics cards. Just rotating assemblies is very laggy. Are there settings I can change to optimize the graphics more? I have tried changing to "High Speed" under the Application Preferences but it automatically changes back to 'Customized". Also, in the case that you do have a very large assembly with many, many views, do you recommend having one large file where everything in contained within itself? Or would linking multiple files be easier on the end user that does not have a super powerful PC? I'm thinking about how Composer Player might work with different file sizes. This is still very new to me so any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi Chloe, The Profile in the Application Preferences is where you would adjust for better performance on your workstation. This behavior is typical of a computer that does not have the appropriate hardware for the Composer and Composer Player software. The workflow for your documents is very dependent on the files you are working on. In your case, it may be best to limit file size to increase the programs performance. Thank you!
Hi Lucas, To view an HTML, this will require Internet Explorer When Publishing an HTML document it creates 4 different needed files and folders needed to view the content These files and folders are as follows: .html files (folder) Resources (folder) ComposerPlayerActiveX.cab If you already have Composer Player installed on the computer, this file will be located in \Bin In some cases you might want to check to see if you need to activate an add-on through Internet explorer This can be found in: Settings > Manage Add-Ons >All Add-Ons > ComposerPlayerActiveX and enable this addon I hope this helps. If you need further diagnostics on your issue you may wish to raise the issue with your local VAR for SOLIDWORKS.
We are limited in how much ongoing support we can offer through the comments on TH-cam. You will want to bring this issue to the attention of your local VAR (the company you purchased SOLIDWORKS through) so they can further diagnose and resolve this issue for you.
A great series of tutorials, thanks you!
Thanks for the tutorial! Very helpful!
You're welcome!
It's really cool and simple)
***** Please, ask me for one question. How start Interactive instruction in composer player in full screen without press key "Zoom"?
thank you

I mean... the file is created, but when I open it, only a blank rectangle is presented
I'm having trouble here when publishing to HTML. An empty screen is shown. Do I have to install any kind of plugin to make it work?

Great! Now the file is opening but crashing as soon as a BOM appears in a view.
What if the ComposerPlayerActiveX addon is not in the list of Addons?
