      It’s importance is literally just to find people with hair that looks more similar to yours. Like if you have 4c hair you probably want to watch people with 4c hair rather than going through a bunch of type 3 hair videos

    the fact that everyone argues over curl types all the time.... that seems like proof to me that the typing chart doesn’t work 😅 if people with curly hair can’t understand it or agree on it, what’s the point?? i don’t even know my curl type bc every chart i’ve seen says something different. we need a more concrete way to measure curls like shrinkage or curl diameter or something 😫 or just be done with it all together. im tired of seeing the curl police anytime someone tried to type their curls. fr

      I know right! Specially when depending on the day, your hair decides to totally change

    I have curly hair & I frequently dye it. And my curls are still very much alive. When it comes to dying curly hair you got to pay attention to the volume of developer you're using. The highest I go is a 20. And after I bleach my hair I make sure to do a protein treatment to maintain the integrity of my curls. I always use the Aphogee 2 step one. And then following the protein treatment I do a moisturizing hair mask in addition to the 2-minute moisturizer that's included with the protein treatment. Then I make sure I cut my hair after I bleach it, so I have a nice clean slate for the dye. And to maintain the color I use a conditioner bar. I find that conditioner bars help to keep the color longer because there's not a lot of filler in them stripping away the color. I only wash my hair 1-3 times a month. When I do wash my hair I use warm to cool water. Hope this helps anyone considering dying their curls. 💜

    • @lucygoosie7726
      @lucygoosie7726 3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      What is “white person hair”? I’m also a very white person, we have lots of red heads in my family and they are super white with 3-4 hair. My hair is a mix of 2a-3a and brown, my son is blonde with 3a ringlets.
      Only about 5% of people have straight hair and the highest percentage is among East Asian people, so if you’re saying that your hair is typical “white person hair” because it’s straight, then it’s not really representing most white people. The majority of white people have level 2 wavy curly hair.

    • @theelvenprince6701

      @@lucygoosie7726 sorry, I didn't want to sound bad in any way! My hair is 1/2a, medium porosity, quite thin and that's what I meant as "white-person hair" bcs that's what I observe the most in my surroundings. Again, you're absolutely right, I shouldn't generalise like that. My apologies, have a nice day 🌸

    • @lucygoosie7726
      @lucygoosie7726 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@rondas7772 it’s not that I was offended, I just didn’t know what she meant. Only about 5% of the population has level 1 hair and most of those are Asian (though Asians can have curly hair, it’s more rare). Like I said, most of my family has curly hair ranging from 2a-4b, so if someone says “white person hair” then 2c is probably the average natural white hair texture (most of us straighten it because it’s not curly enough to look good).
      It’s like if someone asked you what tone your skin was and you said you have a typical black person skin tone. Black skin comes in the most diverse amount of shades. Saying it’s a typical black tone says nothing at all.

      1. They are trying way to hard to accommodate every hair type (for money reasons) so they are changing formulas by watering them down etc. (example is the curl enhancing smoothie used to be a holy grail product for type 4 hair but they watered it down for looser hair types and now it sucks or isn’t as good as it used to be)
      2. There are RUMORS the company was bought out by someone else and they dont know what they are doing.

    I honestly have no idea what to call my hair. I normally just say for the most part 3a, but there are some ringlets that are 3b then there are some that look any where from 2a to 2c. It’s so flat at the top; I look like a triangle. And I can’t touch it once it’s dry or it just gets so frizzy. Plus my curls will change directions sometimes multiple times in a one strand.
    And it’s just so hard to figured out what I should do with it to make it looked good!!

My hair spirals like this thing you use to open wine bottles, but the hair itself is a finer texture I got from my dads German hair...so these videos don`t really help, cause my hair is mixed and second everybody has a different understanding of what hair type they have... I am definitely 3, but which one :/

    When my hair dries and I brush it just gets poofy n straight so ... HELPPPPPP . I do brush it when it's wet but when it dries i still brush it ... plz don't tell me to not brush it cuz if I don't brush my hair it will get tangled ....almost every curly hair video also what's u to have more volume ... like no thank u I have enough volume I'm gonna pass on that . I've been braiding my hair but just like two braids ... does that somehow help ? Cuz when I brush after them it's puffy n straight too . any help ???

    • @juliajulia-yj1fx
      @juliajulia-yj1fx 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's because you shouldn't brush it when it's dry. Only when it's wet. If it's still tangled refresh it with Water and tangle it again. But never brush it when it's dry.nevwr. also, frizz isn't volume

    • @ThisIsKassia
      @ThisIsKassia 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't brush you hair. Just detangle with a comb when it's wet, with conditioning, moisturizer in it.
      Crurly hair should never be brushed when dry.

    • @evcurls416
      @evcurls416 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it can be from a few things but a big thing to consider is When you diffuse youll 90% of the time always get some frizz unless you use a styling gel. Also do you should maybe use low heat and low wind power when diffusing too.
      Whenever you try to achieve volume you ALWAYS have to sacrifice definition. :)
