But it was worth it, because it's a GN powered weapon. And quite fitting that not soon after he was given a GNX, but instead took it's reactor out to install it into an Overflag (that's how GN Flag was born)

Man it was considered a low tier unit (an Elite mook but anything non gn drive sucked in AD) but the overflags were the sickest grunt units in season 1.... I'm glad the movie paid tribute to that design with the braves in trailblazer. And Graham? A favourite among Ace pilots. He's an anime villain for the people... FOR THE UNION

In fact Graham's Overflag is the only one without dampeners so its performance is superior to the others. I can't imagine what he would do if he jacks the Quanta thought. @Cain1134 you're right the tau drive are the same level of performance, but because they lack the TD blanket the particles they emit are harmful to the human body, and are less energy efficient, if you'll remember, after the GNX units attacked team trinity, they had to automatically recharge their drives, whereas Setsuna and the others can go on an entire day fighting an entire army and still have enough left over. Also, when the Tau drives enter trans-am they always use up all their particles.
That Flag is just like the Tallgeese, So fast it really hurts the pilot from being so fast, Only that Flag is Skinnier, Black and has more advanced technology than in the Tallgeese.
If he kept going he'd have died or passed out from G-forces then defeated. The upgraded Flag with Graham's Skill could keep up with the Gundam's at this point but the Flag didn't have the inertial damping systems of the Gundam's so acceleration and deceleration were basically crushing him with so many times his own weight. Normally real life pilots and astronauts feel this for brief periods and may just pass out, but with fighting a Gundam the strain is far too great and continuous. That's why he was called "Reckless".
his suit/unit have not solved the massive amount of G-forces problem that the pilot faces during that high speed flying/slashing scene. therefore the body cant take that amount of G-forces and thus suffer the consequences.
@Haaris09 his body cant take the high speed of the mobile suit , remember he's not used to speed of a gundam , he tried exceeding the powers of a flag to a gundam level
Besides the Tallgeese is more advanced than the Flag since it had beam technology for beam sabers and later on got a beam cannon to replace its dobergun. The only difference is 20+ years of aesthethics and technology marches on.
Fon Spaak said that if i recall, right? And yeah that is true but apparently the mass produced Overflags were still toned down somehow so that the other less awesome pilots could take it.
@Mobilesuitpilot While the Normal GN drives have a time limit in which they'll have to recharge their particles after Trans-am, the Tau drives are just empty drives after trans-am.
@DarthFanta sorry to reply 2 months late, he means g-force and his body can't handle it (that's why he throws up blood in other episodes because his body can't handle it) gundams have a "g-force dampener" or whatever it wuold be aclled, so they can go faster without drawbacks
@fidle95 It's fine if you the hate the Thrones and the Trinities, but keep in mind that the Thrones are just machines. You can't hate a machine just for doing terrible crimes when a machine can't decide what's right and wrong.

Hate to be that guy but in a 1v1 battle between a Tau Drive and Original Drive, the original will win, however in a game of numbers, the Tau units could overpower them
I like how Throne Eins' radar shows that there are two friendly units nearby, but nobody helped him when he was getting owned by Graham.

Power is not a sign of mobility, just raw thrust. Also, the tallgeese weighs 8 tons. The Flag weighs 69 tons. The difference is pretty huge.
So apparently this is accurate to the wiki but that makes no sense. 8 tons is like 6 cars.

Those three series weren't UC at all which allowed them to do whatever they wanted. In a raw comparison, it is still relevant.
