Most people would do this trip by tram (ding ding) up St Kilda Road to the city then catch the 86 to Smith Street. The walk there and back is 3-4 hours but can take all day if you let your thoughts run away with you. Like the song ....
Love the rickety rollercoaster sounds in the background. Love this song so much because its very close to home (pun intended). Looking forward to hearing it live on the 20th September !
Well, that's certainly a MOST provocative use of your lovely head on the photo, gives new meaning to the term "head shot" (?). Your work is always complex & challenging, never ceases to amaze & delight!!
Once I took 96 route start at Moor st and get off at Acland st to take a walk on the beach at night and I lost my umbrella on the tram,I even saw a man put it in his bag😂
So 6 years later, and it's still iffy, but this is the closest I could manage: His aching back, my toes all red, the muesli at the Galleon Check my bank and pay my rent, learn to play an instrument Gelato shops, and Bala's got a 20 dollar dinner set Old man, Italian, pretty tourist talking French. (I want to feel it all the time) Heya sweetheart, where you been? The Galleon is a St Kilda cafe, and yes they sell muesli. Bala's is a St Kilda Thai food place. Some of the words sound very different because of the way they overlayed the previous verses. You mix "Check my bank, and pay my rent" with "Construction men, whistling", and I swear I hear "Fix my bank, and piss my rent".
Love these B-sides, but i can see why they didn't make it on the album. They don't really fit in with the rest of the album. Maybe a B-side album is on the cards!
this song feels so nostalgic for no reason at all.

Tonight, Melbourne!
G C for most of it and then at the "grass, steps, gate, door" parts it's D and C.
Really easy, think I might upload a cover. :)

WOW
its a b-side. they came with the download. at least the pre-orders.
She references her own songs, so I wouldn't be surprised. I assumed it was Melissa Mahoney as well =]
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that
Yes, her real names's Becca Darling though. She's dead now. :( RIP
