you can't use throat grabs or neck strikes in MMA because its a sport with rules, its not actual lethal combat
Maybe instead of being an armchair hero you should actually train this style and see for yourself
Try being a bouncer for 15 years where there is no bell or ref or an ability to tap out and you sometimes face multiple opponents and weapons
without the conditioning I got from training tong long ( ie repeatedly getting struck in the neck, jaw, temple etc) I wouldnt have been standing after a sucker punch I received one night working a door by myself at a nightclub and I wouldnt have any bridge strength for stand up and ground grappling, not to mention the power of the striking techniques
But yeah mate if its not in MMA its not real, even though MMA is not real combat its a sport with rules.
There is no weight divisions outside of a ring.

Show a video where a Kung Fu warrior knows this.
Kung Fu is a strong style only in theory.

Iron body skill and close range fighting translates well and helps to get to the clinch. Any time you break contact and maintain a connection at the bridge, you can close and utilize your conditioned limbs to strike and dominate. It's a matter of how you fit the art into your game. This is a close range fighting discipline.
