    Great job so far. Save your knees, I purchased "Thunderbolt" no slip kneepads (Amazon) to use while working on my outdoor railroad. Keep up the good work.

    I bet you couldn't do this without those adorable doggos! This is so fascinating to see. My uncle had a huge HO layout in his barn for years. Did you build this originally? I ask because you look awfully young to have built such an old layout.

      Isn’t that right haha! That’s awesome, no it was my grand parents that built it, I’m just here to restore it.

      @@baileycollins7799 I love that you are restoring it. I bet your grandparents do too. It looks like they built a great foundation for it. Are you putting grass in when it's done? No insult intended, but your lawn looks a bit tired...says the woman who lives near 3 of the Great Lakes in Michigan. We generally have a high water table here, such that one simply decides how deep to drill the well, not where to drill it.

      They are definitely enjoying the process and yes I’d be putting grass in and hopefully a lot of nice scenery, just trying to find the time to get things done but love the feedback, thank you!

    Hi Bailey, the layout looks really fantastic and if don’t mine sharing the total price of everything. The tracks and all the hardware and the time it took to build. Thanks!

    • @baileycollins7799
      @baileycollins7799  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t really have any idea in terms of pricing, it was built originally by my Grandparents and now I’m just trying to get it to look the way it was.

    That layout looks massive! Are you using track power or dead rail?
    Looking good so far. Looks like alot left to do yet

    • @baileycollins7799
      @baileycollins7799  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s a dead rail, I’m putting LiPo batteries in all my locos and making them remote controlled. There’s so so much, but will get there slowly.

      @@baileycollins7799 I use LIPO 3S batteries - fine even for 20V locomotives because you are removing the rolling resistance from track and wheel contacts. I use Micron Radio Control units - transformed the enjoyment of the railway operation.
