It’s actually amazing that they’ve gone this far with 92 members and 20 of them being middle schoolers. Also, loved the indoor show at Dayton this year. Fantastic!
Tom Aungst started working at Dartmouth High in 1992, and our indoor line earned our first perfect 100 score at NESBA finals in 1995. We won our second perfect 100 in 1998, right before winning WGI our first time out, which had never been done before. We held the record for high score (98.35) for at least a decade after that.

Wait until you see their indoor percussion program 😉
Look at our Program ModZ 😉
But like hasn't their indoor percussion been killing it for the past decade

Dartmouth has a hella good indoor program!
Saw this band at BOA regionals. Wow! Great job. Great show.
Former Centerville Jazz Band (Centerville OH) band kid. Always proud of my fellow band family. Hope Dartmouth did well at BOA Grand Nationals.
So turns out a 98.05 in USBands is an 81.275 in BOA lol
I mean, BOA is completely different stage, that drop is to be expected.
Got recommended this after I saw the results from Prelims, they’ve made it to Semis
Only 92 and a battery (and pit) that big is impressive
Saw these guys at indy and didn’t know who they were. Anyone know what they got? Idk if they got semi
we got semi and ranked top 22 unfortunately didn’t make it to finals.
@@iwlksesudms hey top 22 isn’t bad at all. y’all beat like 70 bands lol
@@Trombonewaffle one of ur members was talking mad shit abt how ur gonna make finals to me being rude ash
u got 28th too
@@nouah7166 no? Im from houston and we got 7th. Idk where ur getting that from
Go Dartmouth!!
Segment on Marching Band . . . no actual marching shown! Hmmm
Many of the good groups don’t allow any part of their show to be posted online (for various reasons) until after the season is over.
@N1oreo1 Yeah, it's a weird dumb rule.
yeah I also found it funny that 90% of this video is Drumline :)
Very likely due to copyright restrictions on the music they play during the show, and possibly the drill, too.
Dartmouth concert band member here, there are multiple places on YT to watch the show, just look up Dartmouth High Marching band 2023
I didn’t know it was possible for a college to be demoted to a high school
Match grip is crazy
What I’m sayin 😭
Forgive me, I’m not a percussionist, but wouldn’t playing traditional grip make it harder to play? Isn’t learning traditional grip kind of unnecessary
@evansaccount1548 traditional grip is hard to learn, but it allows more finesse on the snare drum head.
@@SoManySquids oh ok, thank you for explaining
theres nothing wrong with match grip lol, its all just how well you all play together as a team
match grip :(
They sound better than any line you were in :(
Complaining about the drum stick grip is like complaining about how a chef held the spoon when he cooked you a great meal.
@@BristolCountyMedia FACTS
Not playing traditional grip on snare is outlandish
Who gives a crap, they outplay most high schools in the country
Outlandish is def not the world I'd use to describe it
Tell that to tom, I'm sure he knows
matched grip 🤮🤮
Love it! Ergonomically logical and natural!
clean
It's their thing. It's part of what makes them unique
