      I'm doing a review soon on IG. Believe the hype. Brian is as
      good as they come, and my Role Club Engineers are by FAR my most complimented boot. In a word… commanding? They monopolize the conversation, and I literally have people stopping me in the street and asking me about them. A worthwhile investment, in my opinion 🙌

      @@trinityhandmade3864 right on I get that. I’m just happy to see new boot vids honestly I like the table top style you do. Just seeing them on would be cool. You don’t need to do a whole new style vid for it. I posted in another vid also we wear the same size. Where do you if you do sell stuff you don’t wear anymore?

    • @trinityhandmade3864
      @trinityhandmade3864  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I get it. I’m thinking I need to do an update on a lot of the boots I’ve posted, initial fit impressions are always a bit skewed for me. Unless they are obviously small I tend to be so stoked on the new boot that I’m blinded by how they truly fit. It usually takes a few days of wear for me to really determine how they fit. I’d be worried about misleading people. Regarding the selling I responded to that comment on the grant stone video

      @MikeJones100_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Lol finally someone says a price. It’s was like a secret society thing until now. Will they come for you? The 1950 is not insane esp because there is two guys at that shop as far as I can tell. I would just personally not drop a G for a rush. But if you got it and want to that’s fine. Supporting a small maker that does cool shit is a bonus. That Brian kid seems genuinely like a nice guy.

      Brian the boot maker is top class but I think he is milking it a bit with these prices.. I got a quote for monkey boots about 2 years ago. 1100 for the boots 1 year wait time and 250 a year to store the lasts...
      Fair play to him but it's too much money 💚

    Those 2:05 & 3:08 is definitely a loose grain. Such as shame for a beautiful boot

    • @trinityhandmade3864
      @trinityhandmade3864  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah a little bit of grain break but not actual loose grain. Loose grain is a separation of layers and that’s not what’s happening here, just some unsightly marks but honestly after wearing them for a while now you really can’t see that stuff at all.

  • @marcJoel
    @marcJoel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like nicks

  • @alanc6468
    @alanc6468 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nope, I still don't understand why these cost $2k unless it was made from a truly bespoke last with all saddle stitching, which it isn't. At 4:19 the backstay isn't cut perfectly. Aesthetically, I don't like the sloped last, wide waist and toe track. Structurally, I think Brian's method of making a holdfast and lasting process is inferior to many makers. The lasting should have smoothed out a lot of stretch marks so I'm not sure why there is so much break in the new boot.

    • @trinityhandmade3864
      @trinityhandmade3864  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think a lot of what you just said is subjective. He can and does modify lasts quite a bit depending on the uniqueness and measurements of your feet. Even at $2,000 it would be silly to assume a bespoke last. Have you priced bespoke dress shoes outside of good values like China. A bespoke engineer would be like 5-6k
      You can also choose a different last 2307 if you don’t like this 1940 last and the toe track is an option you choose. I like how it looks so I went with it. Neither of those are a comment on the quality or value of these boots.
      The grain thing is subjective too, with horsebutt I never mind grain, I don’t mind seeing it. Lasting it a little tighter may have smoothed it out more but we talked and I preferred to have the vamp with a little less tension. Which I’m glad because I could barely get past the pass through the vamp was so tight the first few wears.
      At only about $800 more than John Lofgrens you get a hand made vs factory made boot. A better pattern IMO. The lofgren last is a shapeless blob they were so boring to look at on foot, idk if you’ve owned them like I have. And you get the bonus of completely choosing the details of the entire makeup. Well worth the markup in my subjective opinion when you compare them to something like John Lofgren.
      I appreciate your comments Alan and look forward to a mature discussion. Cheers buddy

    • @alanc6468
      @alanc6468 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@trinityhandmade3864What is this subjective, objective nonsense? I feel like you're strawmanning an argument that doesn't exist. You seem deeply triggered by my comments about the cost but you seem to forget that these prices are arbitrary. Atelier Buck, Westerly or Kreosote can accomplish a bespoke boot in the same price range. There is real science in Podiatry journals on how harmful slope lasts are without arch support and seeing how wide that waist is, I assume there isn't any arch support. My opinions on the leather cuts, lasting and holdfast making are undeniable. You can watch his videos and delude yourself but Brian's techniques are middle of the pack. His skiving technique is a dead giveaway.
