Wade Schalles and Ben Askren in an interview on how we could improve wrestling would be mind blowing 🤯
Wade was a different breed. He would have beat Askren at his own game. The old guard knows this to be true.
We all know Cael hasn’t revealed all his secrets to Taylor, the master never reveals all
Wade is one of the all time greats, I grew up in Tyrone, Wade wrestled for Holidaysburg (a rival of ours), I was young and had just started wrestling and loved his go for it style. He had some classic state championship matches as well. Our former head coach went to Clarion as the head coach (Bob Bubb) and had tremendous success there and Wade was one of his national champions.

Wade schalles is the smartest man in wrestling. 3 hour interview is needed.
I got hit with a Wade counter by one of his wrestlers (Scott Giacobbe). Never been pinned in competition, I knew I had 5 seconds to hold on and did. I walked away with a 3 point win but felt I would have got pinned had I went over. Wade is the most dangerous wrestler that ever competed. As a freshman that wasn't allowed to wrestle at the NCAA (Wade is why it was changed), went up 2 weight classes and pinned Shorty Hitchcock in the finals. Shorty won Div I National 167 two weeks later.
@craigwhitaker6397 your lucky he didn't hit you with a catch wrestling submissions. Since Wade is a master of hundreds of catch wrestling submissions.
I am super honored to be featured again, but I can see the Apple does not fall far from the tree in name pronunciation haha 🙂

I'm in Texas, and went up to see the PSU vs OK St "Dual Championship" (the one where Suriano got injured) and they have an awesome wrestling arena, and their fans (the ones we sat near) were great. I can't blame DT for jumping on this opportunity. I saw that Mark Hall went for an interview. What about other possibilities? Ed Ruth, Vincenzo, & Frank Molinaro? So, which brings up the thought that several PSU wrestlers have already went out to coach elsewhere as asst coaches. DT is just the 1st to go elsewhere as a Head Coach. I'm sure one, or more, of these guys will eventually be head coaches, too.

If Gable had accosted that girl in any State except Minnesota, he’d be in prison. Minnesota law at the time didn’t allow anyone to file a report while drinking. The law has changed since then.
AJ and Gable will be perfect together, both accosted women, head on car accident up a hill and almost killed a family, both glamour boys, AJ flips off an entire gym….what is any program thinking by taking these guys.
Brands won’t get Iowa viable in the next 2-3 years. I think the hot seat keeps getting hotter for Tom. But Tom has no shame, and puts himself in front of the program.
I hope it works, but I give CLAW less than 3 years.
You cant force punishments on people for things they weren't even tried for in this country. Courts in this country have conviction rates on par with nazi Germany and plenty of innocent people behind bars, thanks to attitudes like yours, and prosecutors can indict anyone for the flimsiest of cases. Have you ever heard the saying "prosecutors can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich"? Well it's pretty much true. So the fact that neither of these guys were actually even brought to trial over these incidents tells me that regardless of what they say the prosecutorial side had no evidence. Under those circumstances, they should be allowed to compete.
Clearly you are missing the point with Gable….If you read the specifics of the case, you will find it was dismissed because the girl had a beer. He assaulted the girl, and due to some archaic law, WHICH WAS OVERWHELMINGLY CHANGED SFTER THIS INCIDENT Gable got away with it.
And how big of a bag of money do you think was dropped off at the girls house IN THE BOTTOM OF THE NINTH to make this girl get cold feet at the last minute. She was receiving death threats from wrestling fanatics.
10 days after AJ almost kills a family DRIVING WILDLY PASSING UP A HILL hitting them head on, he was selling steaks on a tv commercial from Mommy’s kitchen.
Please DONT preach to me about morality in law surrounding these two. The system combined with coercion let these 2 girls down.
