I am about to finish my flight training as a private pilot and for flying the Nighthawk is my go to timepiece. I have had the Nighthawk for over a year now and still don't want to take it off. I can honestly say I have used every feature of the watch. I use the bezel for flight planning and aviation weather utilizes UTC. Short of a Breitling I think you would hardpressed to find a better GMT pilot watch. The eco drive/Quartz is also extremely underrated, as I almost never have to set the watch....
I have had my Nighthawk for 3 months now and it very rarely leaves my wrist. I really don't want a large collection Maybe 5 or 6 pieces so I am really being picky with my choices. I also don't have the means to spend a couple grand on a watch so Citizen with its top notch quality has to be my favorite brand so far.
I searched a long time for a dress watch. First I considered a junkers for it's bauhaus style (the junghans automatic was over my price range for the moment) but then found this tissot. It remembered me that the time has not come to wear such a classic watch in that bauhaus look. Just bought the Tissot in the silver dial version last week, mainly because I own black citizen divers. This Tissot is just perfect as an entry level automatic dresswatch. It has that classic style but is still "young" enought to wear it every day. Everytime I watch your videos I remember how we feel connected to a brand and how we get this feel when we see one of them. What Seiko is for you I always owned Citizen watches (aqualand classic and my daily watch promaster NY0040) and they give me joy everyday I wear them and I got my NY0040 2001 :) Great channel, great guy...keep that
Oh my that night hawk is beautiful . I've realized that you don't have to spend a huge amount of money to enjoy watches . These pieces are just so enjoyable
Philip A Winged Maybe the people are just disliking the watch and not the video. Don't know but that's what I think is the only logical answer to the thumbs downs...... On my opinion a very nice video, once again, and keep up the good work TGV. I'm already excited waiting for the future episodes as these videos really widen my view and help me on my path to become a watch collecting expert and a horology enthusiast.

Its funny how one man's negatives are a joy to another. Its clear that you really didn't like the reflective property of the Tissot Visodate dial, but I actually love it. It gives a very nice feeling when I look at a watch that reflects so cleanly and nicely like that. Anyway, thats just my opinion.
I agree. It makes it look really classy. I think they did it deliberately to make it shine. That said, legibility is sometimes an issue with mine when there is no AR coating.
I'm sure it's been echoed in comments above, but we need a SARB033 vs. Visodate showdown. Same price point and classic styling. Plus rock solid movements. Would love to see that head to head. Great video, TGV
I own this watch. Absolutely stunning and you can get it on Jomashop for around 350. My second Auto after the Bambino. If you are beginning your collection as I am and thinking of picking one of these up, do so. You won't be disappointed as it has the look of a watch many times its price. Let me reiterate, pictures/videos don't do this watch justice.
I could just CRY. Some years back, before I had any inkling that it would be worth hanging onto and fixing, I got rid of a nonfunctional automatic Tissot that was buried at the bottom of the junk drawer in my late dad's dresser. I later found out that my granddad had, on a trip to Europe in the 60s, bought a whole stack of those Tissots and given them to all the engineers at his company. AAAAAAAAA! Wish Dad had *told* me some of this stuff! I really miss that watch. :(

Hi, TGV: your videos are getting better everyday! Incredible. Your approach to review is so original that people take pleasure in watching them as they are conversing with you. Kudos!
The Visodate is a great little watch for the money, great movement (Very accurate, date switches over almost instantly at midnight). I really regret selling it now!
Thank you TGV for this review. I recently got myself the while dial version. The Visodate is simply an amazing timepiece. And as you said, it's the perfect watch to enter the swiss watch category. I can't stop looking at it.
I bought an ecodrive 15 years ago and it still works fantastic. I will however be needing to get a new crown for her. Wonderful brand and I plan on buying the Nighthawk.
Just purchased the mesh strap version (my skin doesn’t like leather) off jomashop. Received some vouchers for my 30th and due to an unfortunate change in my work situation I’ve had to pause my plans to get a grail watch (Speedmaster reduced) for now but still wanted a watch I know I’ll never trade for my birthday and after lots of research on cheaper watches I decided on this one. My second Swiss watch (I have a Mondaine railways watch on mesh) and first Swiss auto. This review is great and I can’t wait for it to arrive. Love your channel, so informative. As someone who as always admired watches from afar but is just getting into it a bit more now I’d love some videos about movements, jewels, vibrations, when to go auto or quartz etc, as a lot of it can be very confusing and there’s a lot of snobbery in the community so it’d be great to have someone such as yourself help out for people such as myself.
Hi TGV. I just want to say thanks to you. I’ve always love watches and recently started learning and paying attention to watches. I’ve learn so much from watching your videos. I’m close to buying my first “real” watch. Visodate is one of the top choices. Thanks again. You’re amazing!
In love with the Visodate. I'm gonna buy the blue dial version which is even more beautiful. It will be my first automatic watch ever. I've been reviewing watches here and there at this price range and I'm glad I came across this one. Just need to wait until I save enough money and it will be mine😁
As it was said, "A little bit of light throws away a lot of darkness". We the people stand for good, genuine TGV, we will keep giving GREAT comments and our "likes" for this is the 'light' we shine!! Thank YOU TGV again👍
Have this exact Visodate. Very good value dress watch. The type of watch that I forget that I have and then wear to a wedding or similar and then on the train back home stare at it slightly tipsily and wonder "why don't I wear this watch more often?". Thanks for the video TGV, take care.
hi TGV. the citizen nighthawk is lovely.... i just purchased the citizen eco drive satellite wave promaster navihawk GPS CC9030-51E. you will hate the size 47mm but its a stunning piece, take a look at it.
Lovely watch indeed. Beautifully made for the price. Even though I prefer a darker dial, I went for the silver because of the lack of antireflective coating. Sadly not under $400 anymore. In the UK it goes for £515. I wish there was a smaller version as well. 38mm would have been perfect! My only disappointment is the accuracy, +25s/24h. I hope it will be a lot better after a quick service.
Easy to regulate with a small screwdriver if you’re careful. Easier than Seiko and Miyota movements I believe as it uses a screw regulator rather than levers. I bought a used one this week which is running about +30s/d fast. I’m going to try and do it myself.
I own a ECO-DRIVE too the Promaster Aqualand Eco-Drive Titanium JV0051-60E its pretty stiff and robust and an amazing tool for diving. Really can´t whait to see the lume shoot those markers are splendid! Thank you, continue this prestige work!
1958 Omega Seamaster is my guess. That Tissot looks very classy and dapper. The Citizen Nighthawk looks really like a true beater watch. I would even actually use one as a kind of an "apocalypse" watch.
To all the haters in the comment section : leave this guy alone and focus on your lives! I love listening to this man even though I can afford to buy just one piece per year. The enthusiasm for the watches is just beyond compare. This is his fascination and he deserves to be appreciated. Sorry for my English if I offended any of native English people.
My first watch I bought for my self was an elegant Tissot quartz back in the late 80s or early 90s. Tried to attach an image but failed. Thanks for your great work. 👍
I guess yours is 1968 Timex Marlin manual hand-wind. I own the 1960 Marlin manual hand-wind re-issue. Just bought it a week ago. It’s a really beautiful vintage watch.
I completely agree with you in terms of the tissot. I'm going to be getting one myself in the white/silver face. I do think 36-38mm would be more ideal. I always gravitate towards smaller watched like you, expecially for dress watches. Divers can get away with 40-42mm
I like the Tissot Visodate with the black dial and large white day date window . It's a very visible day date function . Probably why they call it visodate ? I think it's very handsome as is and at a very competitive price . Nice pick in that price range and wonderful dress watch .
This is a gorgeous watch. I’ve looked at it in white for some time, but this version is incredible. I don’t see this as a dress watch, due to the size, day/date complication, and even the second hand if you want to be strict about the rules. I see this as an office/sports watch. Wish it had the AR coating that comes on the Tissot Powermatic “Luxury” which looks as if there were no crystal at all. Tissot is incredible except at impressing watch snobs. Cheers, thanks for this one!
Great video, I am late to the game (36yo) but recently got interested in horology. Decided to do some research before buying anything and bumped into your channel....Its great! The Tissot Heritage Visodate will probably be my first (legit) automatic watch. Thanks for the info and opinion, its not easy making quality videos and keeping people engaged!
I now have seen many TISSOT Heritage Visodat Videos and must say this watch shows his REAL Glamour character not at home from one bright light source... I wore it on a place where many bright lightsources were around me and this watch has shown its real glamour character with a play of light which can be compared with diamond rolling through a light.... WOW wow and more WOW
Thank you for making videos that hit me right between the eyes. I have been buying watches for work over the last ten years or so, and that is really the extent of my interest. I usually wear g-shock or Luminox. Again, those watches are just for work. Both watches have been field tested for years and I'm happy with them. Lately, I'm more interested in more of a classic dress watch. Something made of good quality and classic looks. I'm about to purchase my first Tissot watch thanks to you. It will be my entry level watch. I dont think I would have found this new found inspiration without you. Thank you so much.
Hi TGV. Thank you for helping me enjoy horology. I love that you show as much enthusiasm for a $50 watch as you do a $10000 one. I have the opposite problem to you. I have an 8 1/4 inch wrist and cannot wear anything vintage, while you struggle with the larger modern sizes. what is the perfect size wrist to enjoy all of the horological world 7 1/4?????
I have the Nighthawk and it's one of my top favorite everyday wear. Quick correction, the factory crystal is mineral glass and in my experience it does scratch rather easily. I swapped mine out for a domed sapphire with blue AR and couldn't be happier. The bracelet is all day comfortable and does not hair tug. It's all dial so it wears large BUT due to the short lug to lug size it "fits" those of us with small wrists quite well. I will agree the fit and finish is better than the SNA411 Flighty. Look forward to your review TGV.
I own one with a Milanese strap since a few months. The case has a kettle shape and is 37 mm on the top. So it wears smaller and is a fine dress watch imo.
Tissot Visodate is a watch I have looked at a few times, I prefer the White dial version. Only thing is leather bands and hot humid weather don't really go together. Nice classy watch which won't break the bank.
I used to own a Nighthawk Havana, and I have to say it is a great value for the money you spend. The water resistance rating is excellent, the GMT feature (had mine set to Gernika in the Basque Country) is a nice bonus complication, and the "tool watch" look is done perfectly. Citizen did a great job of making a busy dial look organized, and the addition of the slide rule gives it a few more cool points as well. The one thing that always bugged me was that it is a quartz movement. I love the sweep motion of automatics. The movement of the second hand on quartz watches doesn't do it for me. If the Nighthawk had an auto movement, it would still be in my box. P.S. The watch on your wrist reminds me of an old Hamilton Day N Date from the 70's. I am probably way off, but that's all I can really compare it to with my limited watch experience.
I'm looking forward to the Nighthawk review TGV. I've got mine on a grey nato and I love the way it completely changes the look. I've got that same DiModell Rallye black strap with red stitching on my citizen chrono. I have previously uploaded pics of both to the FB group.
Can't go wrong with a Tissot. My wife and I both have a PRC200 in our collections and they're beauties. Got quartz versions on purpose so we're amazing value plus are extremely accurate.
I’m on the fence? I found a silver face Heritage Visodate for less than $200. I’m looking for a Swiss, everyday type of watch but I have to be honest, I don’t know, or didn’t until now, anything about Tissot, really. Seen a few on other people but nothing more than that. It looks to be an “entry level” Swiss maker with a solid reputation. After seeing this & learning more about Tissot, my ignorance has turned to stupidity for not knowing more about the brand. Thanks
This piece will excellent dress watch without the day date! I love the design. I have a smaller version made by Bulova. I have few dress watches because I go few places that do not require that oomph in the watch, but still needing the elegance in the piece. And no I don't want a smart watch! Couple months ago I got the CITIZEN JY8034-58E Love the review TGV!
I've got the white/gray dial version and put a gray real alligator band on it and it's a knockout...! Love the combination and really looks great together...! Love the 30's style Tissot on the dial...! Very nice piece...
I purchased a similar watch with many of the same features (minus the DAY in the day / date complication), I would still like to purchase the Visodate, but Victorinox's Army Alliance Men's Automatic Watch (#241668) is a great stepping point. It has a sapphire lens, the ETA 2824 movement, and comes with a beautiful leather strap with a deployment buckle. Amazon currently has it for $250.00 bucks. For the price, you can't beat it....
Very apt as received by Black Visodate today. Purchased it after watching your unboxing. It is a lovely looking watch, only let down slightly by the strap but that is easily changed. After watching your videos they get me checking out eBay for watches, becoming a bit obsessive. Have my eye on a 60s Omega Seamaster. Keep up the good work!
So glad to hear Martin, enjoy the new Visodate! Welcome to the best obsession a gent can have ;-) Good luck on the hunt for a Seamaster, Best regards, TGV
Love the history you give on brands. I currently own two Tissot watches and love them both. Bought my first at age 21. At any rate you get a lot for the money with Tissot.
Just bought Visodate, they are stunning! You have to see them live, looks more beautiful then on videos od pictures. I have 40 mm version and quite a big wrist, but they looks OK a fit me I think :) White dial. Recommend :) And also - *many thanks to TGV* , your videos helped me a lot! :-)))
Brought a visiodate today. Needed a dress watch as my longines conquest automatic isn't always formal enough. I liked the 50's styling and the italic applied logo is what sold it to me
I think that Citizen is pretty nifty! Ha! I love the strap because it's 100 m water resistant. Good luck with additional straps as the spring bars are quite close to the case. I haven't ordered curved bars yet.
Another great video TGV. What's with all the thumbs down? It is a shame there are so many negative people. Keep up the great work TGV and don't let the haters get at you!
Both of these are nice. I really want that brown band it would be perfect on at least 3 of my watches. I would have preferred the Citizen but I would not have a problem with either on my wrist.
I have always loved this watch and never bought it, just got a Bulova alpha reissue, it's not a 50th anniversary but I'm happy. I'm gonna say ur wearing a Tissot seastar!
Totally agree with your comment about the visodate. The silver dial is the slightly more accomplished watch. Infact, I find it a collection killer. There is nothing that surpasses it for the price so it's my only modern dress watch. Oh and the brown stock strap is naff on the silver dial too. Swapped out for a blue hirsch. Great vid. Sorry I did not get the black nighthawk out to you. I suspect return shipping would have been costly.
Chef's table is amazing, I still have to watch the new version that focuses on French food. Great video Gov. Also another great Netflix series is called "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
I brought the black visodate and instantly regret it. wish I'd gone for the silver dail. the reflection is a bit of an annoyance but beautiful peice all the same. Enjoyed the review on this. All the best tgv
Love the Nighthawk TGV. Not looked at it before... Having a couple of 'Premium' watches I'm now enjoying adding 'value' watches to my collection. Bought a Mako on your recommend and love it.. Maybe the Nighthawk next but could be a Seiko?? Keep up the great work mate. Tim. UK
The Citizen Nighthawk was my first watch I ever owned that cost more than Walmart money. I am in love with the watch...but I was in love with the woman who gave it to me so when she left I had to get rid of the watch. BUT....I've since learned a great deal about watches, a lot from your channel, and I've learned of a titanium model of this Nighthawk.... I am on the hunt now for that specific watch. They stopped making them in 2006 and they didn't manufacture very many. Even still, I am going to own one. Thanks for all you do... once again I desired an Orient Bambino V2 because of your video. Bless you and what you do... P.S. Perhaps do some "giveaways" with the watches you own. That should bump you channel interaction and reaches as well as satisfy us your followers. You could make us do a response video to the watch and show us unboxing it or wearing it. Just a thought. Love the channel and all you talk about.
Just watched this one. Love it. Tissot just came out with a blue dial on the Visodate and it's gorgeous! Thank you as always. I just got into watches in March. I own one Tissot so far but am looking into getting a Visodate. I'm trying to figure out what order to get the following watches. Right now it stands at Seiko Jazzmaster, Hamilton Cocktail and the Tissot Visadate.
Tissot makes some real eye catchers but I wish they used more robust movements. I had a Tissot and the G10 ETA died after 6 months. I never regained my confidence back in them but perhaps it's time I gave them another shot.
Hi TGV, I had several Tissot's in my hand, when I went out buying warches, I can't tel why,but it never felt right to own one. It just didn't hit the spot to me. Never liked the T on the second hand and overall appearance of the brand. Now I owned several Citizen Flightmaster, but all had to go for automatic watches. But still a great brand and beautiful watches! ;) Very nice first review! !! Frank Schroth
Another competitor to the visodate could be the Hamilton Jazzmaster. I looked at all these though and bought a SARB035, no regrets. Sounds like the vintage has already been guessed. It could be anything but just to pick something different I'll say Gruen precision.
Thank you Ben, Excellent choice, always love the Jazzmaster line. Not surprised at your content with the SARB, pure class ;-) Great guess btw, not saying any more ;-) Best regards, TGV
Very nice video. The Tissot chronograph on the ostrich strap looks absolutly stunning. If you could choose which one would you choose: Hamilton intra-matic, Junkers Bauhaus (6050) or Tissot Visodate?:)
A lot of vintage watches looks like this one (by the distance of the camera). I just bought my birthday watch and it looks so much like: it's a Timex 4017-3165.
beautiful nighthawk, my uncle's everyday watch has the black dial. He wears it on a green zulu. Every time i see one it reminds me of his cool but complicated character. The watch suits him perfectly. Took him 30 minutes to explain how the calculator works to me though lol.
I disagree. I think the case back crystal should be sapphire as well. Because it rubs on the skin and clothing and desk and will eventually get scratched. It's a small price to pay to make the watch last longer and clearer. Especially because the only reason I like watches is because I can see the mechanical movement to begin with.
Corndog4382 my new Tissot PRC200 black dial had black date window with white numbers. Would look better on this arch also. I'm looking to buy the visodate but prefer the white dial version
Love the Visodate. I agree that there should be a mid-size version. This watch was my choice for my firts automatic. I was going to pull the trigger, but then you infected me with the Seiko bug! :D Eventually I went for the Seiko Presage SRP467J2: same quality and better water resistance (10 ATM) for 100 Euros less.
Thank you Luca! Ahhh yes the Seiko bug, I don't trust those who are immune to it ;-) The Presage is an excellent choice btw, stunning. Best regards, TGV
I have to say you are one of the more genuine and likable people i've seen on TH-cam.

c'mon. you're looking at your watch to see what hour is and you will see yourself better than a mirror

I second that emotion!
Visodate on the Milanese anytime of the week and twice on Sunday.
rock solid is one thing. but accuracy is another.

125 dislikes? Why? Get off this channel if you have to dislike it. what's your problem. One of the greatest channels on youtube...
Go away haters
I was wondering the same thing. Way more than usual and I don't really see a reason for it...
Well said . Great channel , great presenter/ enthusiast

469 dislikes now, what's wrong? The Visodate is excellent choice for a dress watch, the Night Hawk is good too.
His style is good too.
Your right, but you do have some that go way beyond just a negative comment.
Hi, TGV: your videos are getting better everyday! Incredible. Your approach to review is so original that people take pleasure in watching them as they are conversing with you. Kudos!

Finally got my Visodate, blue dial version and in love with it. Many thanks for your great reviews!!!

Having day and date is perfect. And having them stick out that much is great.
Hi TGV. I just want to say thanks to you. I’ve always love watches and recently started learning and paying attention to watches. I’ve learn so much from watching your videos. I’m close to buying my first “real” watch. Visodate is one of the top choices. Thanks again. You’re amazing!
Just bought a visodate - truly fantastic piece. Great review.
I really wanted the Seiko Cocktail time srpb43 , then I thought about this one ... Got it. Now need to get a brown leather band
I think what makes his videos great is his enthusiasm for them
For that tissot to be absolutely perfect imo: no day or date, solid caseback and 38mm
Totally agree, thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Ah, keep it at 40mm for us big guys. We like watches too!
Wish they had a 38mm option
The quartz version is exactly like that, 38mm, no day just date, solid back.
Agree with you but swing the movement in an automatic has a certain magic
In love with the Visodate. I'm gonna buy the blue dial version which is even more beautiful. It will be my first automatic watch ever. I've been reviewing watches here and there at this price range and I'm glad I came across this one. Just need to wait until I save enough money and it will be mine😁
Hope you manage/have managed to get one! Just bought a used one this week but the black version.

I can't agree with you more about the 50mm+ watches we see these days. I remember when 40mm was the benchmark.
hi TGV. the citizen nighthawk is lovely.... i just purchased the citizen eco drive satellite wave promaster navihawk GPS CC9030-51E. you will hate the size 47mm but its a stunning piece, take a look at it.

Purchased my first automatic last week , victorinox inox auto with blue face . Now that is a solid piece of steel !
1958 Omega Seamaster is my guess. That Tissot looks very classy and dapper. The Citizen Nighthawk looks really like a true beater watch. I would even actually use one as a kind of an "apocalypse" watch.
Great observation about the Nighthawk. It is that tool watch look and the fact it runs off light, spot on!
Thank you Adrian,
Best regards,
TGV
Fantastic to see you finally reviewing some Citizens TGV. Can't wait for the Nighthawk review mate- keep up the great work!
My first Swiss watch was also a Tissot, 1973 9ct Gold Seaster. Very nice watch that my Grandad handed to my dad and he to me.
This now goes for $600-700 now. I picked one up, in immaculate condition for $326. I got the white dial. I love it.
I absolutely enjoy listening to you speak about these time pieces. Job well done!
I think that watch is a Tissot Seastar. I have one myself. My dad gave it to me. It's the watch that started my obsession!
I like the logic there reading the name, I think you may be right.
Best regards,
TGV
My first Swiss Automatic watch was the Tissot Carson (Chronograph). Absolutely stunning watch. I think you'd like it.
This is probably one of my favorite watches you've shown. I really like the style!
I think the Nighthawk will be my next purchase - trying to decide between a monster, or possibly even a sarb017/035 if I stretch my budget...
This vintage watch doesn't look out dated. Realy love this watch.
Thank you my friend, duly noted on the crystal, shame but not surprised.
I bet with the new crystal it must be fantastic.
Best regards,
TGV
One of the best videos in watch history becuase some people can't afford luxury watches that a grand and above
The citizen is just amazing! The build quality is second to none and the busy dial is eye-catching.
Late 50's Timex? Possibly a manual wind or early one of their early "self-wind" models.
Finally you take on the Nighthawk. Staying tuned for both the full review and the Flighty duel. Keep it up TGV! Cheers
Jolly good :D
Long over due, but hopefully it should be finished soon.
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
so happy you finally got a Nighthawk. i love mine and the UTC/24hr inner dial is so useful. look forward to the review
I'm looking forward to the Nighthawk review. I've been drooling over them for months and can't wait to hear TGV's take on it.
Thank you, cant wait to get into it too.
Best regards,
TGV
I've got the white/gray dial version and put a gray real alligator band on it and it's a knockout...! Love the combination and really looks great together...! Love the 30's style Tissot on the dial...! Very nice piece...
I too own and prefer the silver dial Visodate. Still though, with that strap the black one looks very good indeed!
Welcome to the best obsession a gent can have ;-)
Good luck on the hunt for a Seamaster,
Best regards,
TGV
Thank you again Tanner.
You hit it out the park with that step choice!
Best regards,
TGV
Thank you my friend, no worries, next time ;-)
Although I would of loved to see it!
Enjoy it.
Best regards,
TGV
Chef's table is amazing, I still have to watch the new version that focuses on French food. Great video Gov. Also another great Netflix series is called "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
I brought the black visodate and instantly regret it.
wish I'd gone for the silver dail.
the reflection is a bit of an annoyance but beautiful peice all the same.
Enjoyed the review on this.
All the best tgv
Thank you Nick,
Did you sell it and go for the silver or did you keep it?
Best regards,
TGV
I still have it but I do plan on selling it in the near future
I like the Hamilton Jazzmaster Thinline series more aesthetically. Although I miss the sweeping second hand found on thicker automatics.
Have you seen "Foyle's War" ? An excellent series I think. The Janeiro would almost fit in if it was smaller and goes really well with Visodate.
My brother got that nighthawk almost 10 years ago. Such a cool watch.
Best channel on you tube. Keep it rolling T,pure class.
Thank you so much Mark, very kind of you to say indeed.
Best regards,
TGV
Finally ! Finally ! Nice one TGV...I love it when you review watches I own. Thanks.
Thank you :D
Sorry it took so long.
Best regards,
TGV
Love the channel and all you talk about.
this would be nice in Ti with a sapphire upgrade too. Great piece. Good luck!
Wristwatch check = Timex Marlin 1969
I can't get over how beautiful this watch is. This looks like a circa 2k watch.
Tissot makes some real eye catchers but I wish they used more robust movements. I had a Tissot and the G10 ETA died after 6 months. I never regained my confidence back in them but perhaps it's time I gave them another shot.
Hi TGV,
I had several Tissot's in my hand, when I went out buying warches, I can't tel why,but it never felt right to own one.
It just didn't hit the spot to me. Never liked the T on the second hand and overall appearance of the brand. Now I owned several Citizen Flightmaster, but all had to go for automatic watches.
But still a great brand and beautiful watches! ;)
Very nice first review! !!
Frank Schroth
Another competitor to the visodate could be the Hamilton Jazzmaster. I looked at all these though and bought a SARB035, no regrets.
Sounds like the vintage has already been guessed. It could be anything but just to pick something different I'll say Gruen precision.
Thank you Ben,
Excellent choice, always love the Jazzmaster line. Not surprised at your content with the SARB, pure class ;-)
Great guess btw, not saying any more ;-)
Best regards,
TGV
Wow you actually got the Nighthawk! Can't wait for the review!!
Very nice video. The Tissot chronograph on the ostrich strap looks absolutly stunning. If you could choose which one would you choose: Hamilton intra-matic, Junkers Bauhaus (6050) or Tissot Visodate?:)
That tissot reminds me of some montblanc models... Excellent video as usual TGV! Keep the good work! Cheers!!!
A lot of vintage watches looks like this one (by the distance of the camera). I just bought my birthday watch and it looks so much like: it's a Timex 4017-3165.
I AM OBSESSED WITH THE PERFORATED WATCH BAND..CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY ONE FOR MY NEW TISSOT VISODATE
beautiful nighthawk, my uncle's everyday watch has the black dial. He wears it on a green zulu. Every time i see one it reminds me of his cool but complicated character. The watch suits him perfectly. Took him 30 minutes to explain how the calculator works to me though lol.
haha. Fantastic comment, thank you my friend for sharing that :D
Best regards,
TGV
I disagree. I think the case back crystal should be sapphire as well. Because it rubs on the skin and clothing and desk and will eventually get scratched. It's a small price to pay to make the watch last longer and clearer. Especially because the only reason I like watches is because I can see the mechanical movement to begin with.
Why don't companies make black date wheels with white numerals? It seems like it would look much more symmetrical with a deep black dial.
I have a seiko snzg15 which has a black dial and date dial and I think more seikos have this
Corndog4382 my new Tissot PRC200 black dial had black date window with white numbers. Would look better on this arch also. I'm looking to buy the visodate but prefer the white dial version
*watch not arch lol. Stupid phone
My black Ninja Tuna with the black Kanji/Arabic day/date wheels
Love the Visodate. I agree that there should be a mid-size version. This watch was my choice for my firts automatic. I was going to pull the trigger, but then you infected me with the Seiko bug! :D
Eventually I went for the Seiko Presage SRP467J2: same quality and better water resistance (10 ATM) for 100 Euros less.
Thank you Luca!
Ahhh yes the Seiko bug, I don't trust those who are immune to it ;-)
The Presage is an excellent choice btw, stunning.
Best regards,
TGV
