The actress Sridevi is regarded as first female superstar in Indian who literally shaped cinema with her acting. She starred in almost 300 films and is said to be in the league of Audrey Hepburn and Meryl Streep. You should check out her last film Mom which even fetched her national award. She was one of the greatest actors in India.

You guys might not know it, but a lot of people judge and respect others based on the way they speak English in India. Some even go to the extent of bullying and making fun of others if they cannot speak english well. Even though English is not one of the national languages of India, it's unofficially like one of the national languages of the nation. That being said, there are so many people here who are harsh on themselves just because they can't speak good English. But the point of this movie was to show people that English and cooking (cuz her husband said that she was born for only making laddoos), are only parts of one's life, there is so much more to a person. That person should just believe in herself/himself. :)

Sridevi was and will be the most loved and technically the best Indian Actor. She was able to take entire movie on her shoulder. Simply the best Ever.
Fun fact: the whole wedding scene was shown to be like a summer in NY, but it was actually snowing throughout.. they’d clear it all off to finish the rest of the shots.. people were so cold shooting out there 😅

Bro, it ain't just about the language. It is about equality, respect, love and understanding. Seems like you're consuming the film moment by moment letting its soul pass over your heads. And I'm sure you didn't get that French guy subplot either (requires a very little knowledge about Indian culture too). I honestly hope your review will prove me wrong.
Using that music video clip in every intro is such a masterstroke every new viewer is astonished by watching that song video by a foreigner, even me.😂

I mean it seems like a stretch to learn English in 4 weeks but the main point is that they all already know the basics of written English. What they dont know is Spoken English. Like communication and forming sentences.
For that a few months are enough to mostly grasp the language.
How don’t you understand her troubles(esp the one in red pants)? For you her messing up her coffee order or wanting to learn English so bad is so funny or irrelevant. I mean either you don’t understand subtlety or don’t understand how privileged you are that you never had to struggle to fit in.
For people hating on the reviewers take a chill pill...Not everyone needs to understand the same way as you feel it should be.Don't feed people's mind let them react the way they want....Everyone has diff perspective on things and coming to Indian movies yes a bit drama is added into everything...

Legendary Actress also called as first female superstar in Indian cinemas will always miss her. Her acting and her loving nature will always be remembered. Though we lost a jem in Indian cinema's but her evergreen movies will always stay in our watchlist. ❤love u Sridevi mam.

Hey guys, your reactions are often out of sync from what people from the Indian subcontinent (south asia) may expect. Don't let it deter you. That's the whole point of reacting to foreign cinema. As you watch more of it hopefully you'll understand the cultural context while also recognizing the common human emotions. As viewers of reaction videos, your audience, hopefully, will also do the same.
