Does An Owl Decoy Really Prevent Woodpeckers?

In a previous video I showed a method to repair holes in wood siding made by woodpeckers ( See • Quick Fix For Woodpeck... ) but it would be nice to prevent them in the first place. Well, after a few years of testing, I have had some success with an owl decoy under certain conditions. In this video I'll share my experience and show a method for mounting a decoy to allow it to move. The movement and the direction of the eyes seems to be important to prevent woodpecker damage.
