I got ensemble (background character) but I'm not too upset because I didn't really expect to get any big parts anyway as I am in the 7th grade and there was mostly high schoolers auditioning.

try adding a metronome. If you can sing it without the vocals because timing is the issue, metronome can help keep the rythm. If its because you get mixed up with the rest of the music and can't find the right notes, keep going with the original track until you're confident on your own. You'll get there!
