If these Qbs are 8-9 or 9-8 as a base. Based on last year. Then if either Qb improves and performs better than last year. The RAIDERS should be able tack on 2 or more wins.
I agree. We’ve improved the roster, we’ve massively improved the coaching staff and we’ve upgraded QB from last year. I think if Minshew is out starter last year instead of Jimmy G/rookie AOC then I think we win 10 games easily
The Raiders offensive play calls in the exhibition games were all about the quarterback battle. Throwing 85% of the time guarantees the team will lose every game in the regular season. And against Dallas, it was mostly their twos against out #2 LT and RG, our #3 and down WR. The expectation of the Raider O to take apart any NFL 53 roster D is asking an awful lot.
As a raider fan, I don't get your praise of the fans knowledge. A lot of them think Gardner and aidan shouldn't be pro. Think Deablo can't play, think Zeus is slow, think we have one of the worst olines in the league.Think if a rookie isn't super bowl ready day one they're a failure. Now YOUR fans are another story. You just attract the raider fans that have some knowledge of the game

Next year it WILL be however (via the draft). Then we'll be able to both solidify our depth in key positions AND pick up a TOP TIER (mobile) QB as well. Whomever they are, they'll make for a great QB room in '25 w/Minchew.

I would hesitate now having watched the first two pre-season games. As a fan I want them to win them all. They committed early on to Gardener and Aiden at the QB position. If it fails, It can be attributed to a GM talent evaluation failure, and/or a coaching failure.

I'm not in favor of a FA solution at QB. We just need to plan on drafting a QB, even if it means trading up. Hopefully there won't be 6 teams in front of us in need of a franchise QB, and hopefully some college QB's will emerge this year that are worthy of a high pick. But we still have to make the right decision and the right pick.
Best thing to do is to quit talking about the qb decision. It's been discussed backwards and forwards in your last 5 podcasts. The decision is Minshew and that should be the conversation moving forward imo.
Qb isn't complicated.. They're both avg Qb’s. They both will be inconsistent because they're avg. They have to not lose games. No turnovers!! Gardner got the job because they feel he will move the ball a little better because he's mobile.

GM is Telesco’s man. AOC was not drafted by either Telesco or AP. It was always going to be GM, and GM sucks. I’ve been supporting the Raiders since ‘66 and am sick of this shite. And the reason it’s important is we would be just as good-and probably better-without wasting those $$ on GM. Those $$ could have been better used by not wasting them on GM.
You say both men (QB) have proven track records. GM does AOC does not! Everyone knows the defense won most of the games after McDaniels was fired.
