    There is a channel called open gate. It is from, I think, S America. They use a chute that is mounted on the back of a truck and attached to some power source.
    The animal is run into the gate, it is shut behind him. Then the entire chute lifts the animal until it is lying flat in its side. The hooves are secured at each corner.
    This evenly distributes the animal's weight over the greatest possible surface area, it's calm because it has no room to struggle and the feet are held fast and secure for trimming.
    Haven't seen anything like it in the US, but there may be. Would have been an absolute godsend for shoeing ozen, I think. Not a farrier, so I might be totally wrong on that front. It is wonderful for trimming though
