✨ 2024 BeholdBeGold Recap: A Year of Advocacy, Awareness, and Empowerment ✨
2024 was an extraordinary year for BeholdBeGold, and we’re thrilled to share all the incredible moments that made it so special. Throughout the year, we represented survivors at 40 events, including Action Days in Washington, D.C., podcasts, speaking engagements, and even walking the runway at the Glimmer of Hope Gala. As a Fighting Kids Cancer Ambassador for the Life Ring Foundation, we had the honor of speaking at the annual Charlotte’s Play Yellow Invitational Golf Tournament-an unforgettable experience that amplified our voice and mission.
We partnered with amazing nonprofits and local businesses to expand our reach and hosted our very first fundraising event-Glaze for Gold-raising over $1,000 to help transition BeholdBeGold into a nonprofit. As a Regional Lead Coordinator for the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation Glow Gold Campaign, we brought greater awareness to the challenges faced by childhood cancer survivors.
We celebrated major milestones, including a friend’s end-of-treatment celebration and graduations, while also featuring in blogs by the National Cancer Institute and Children’s Cancer Cause. Connecting with survivors was a huge focus this year-we hosted Instagram Lives, tabled at CureFest, and strengthened relationships within our community.
At BeholdBeGold, we’re dedicated to empowering childhood cancer survivors facing the late effects of treatment. This video isn’t just a reflection of what we’ve accomplished-it’s a source of motivation for the future. Seeing all that we’ve achieved together inspires us to keep advocating, educating, and supporting survivors in every way possible.
