My son and I were just hiking up at pinnacle Mt. Hiking down the trail alone and heard what sounded like a wooden flute playing in the woods. At first it sounded far then got closer. That's when we moved faster down the trail. Not making it up. We both heard it. Nobody else was around. Wondering if the woods is haunted????
This is not really a cave. It is fault fissure. I went all the way to the end about 20 years ago. It was in the Autumn and there were about 8 snakes in a hollow tree at the top of pinnacle. I think they gather together before they over winter deep in those rocks.
Researching pinnacle. I'm going in 2 weeks to get samples of the stonework for analysis that are inside the deeper parts of the area you just explored. There is alot to this place that most people wouldn't take as being a truth. Thank you for sharing.
Coming from a former spelunker, hope you consider doing this stuff with someone else in the future and not alone. A pack with two extra lights, fleece, food, heat packs and water is what I used to carry caving.
not sure where your from but must be somewhat close to me in york,pa. If you ever want someone to be a companion for safety reasons I'd enjoy exploring as I'm interested in same things, love old artifacts. Growing up in a family of avid hunters when I was twelve my dad took me to the sinnemahoning area and my dad told me of the lost civil war gold and in fact he bought a metal detector and we would look for it on trout fishing and turkey hunting trips but always wandered if a tall tale? But couple days ago the fbi and finders keepers are in dents run with good chance they found it but hush hush for now! my dad is in heaven probably saying to me I told you so! lol
I remember exploring this cave as a kid, was really fun. Went back there as an adult, the climb down to the entrance is much more dangerous than the cave itself, not counting the brown recluses
You can walk into this cave, in the back there is a crawl section, which I didn't do in this video. But I did go back with some friends this winter and do the crawl sections.

I was thinking you should probably carry a garbage bag and try to clean out some of the cages visit as a goodwill gesture.
I love the view of the abandoned ski
Slope...formerly known as Hahn Mountain.
WOW!!! at 6:54 I was doubting your sanity.....but I guess you make it out cause I'm seeing you filming LIVE!! LOL
it sometimes is hard to watch even from my office chair. can't understand the fun in it.
This is interesting, I've been there twice hiking the AT and did not realize there was a cave there.
Wind cave in Pequea, Pa. goes down a 100 feet and further in some places..
Hey woodsman. Have you ever explored any caves in shippensburg pa?? Like the Carnegie cave?
wow. haven't been there since late 1970's. more overgrown now. (yes, I know its been 40 years!)
You should NEVER EVER go into ANY cave, alone! Do you have a death wish? JS.
I certainly agree. Maybe he does.
Need stronger lite inside cave.
How do you block all the wind noise when you are talking?
I try to block the microphone with my hand, it doesn't always work so well. I'm sure there are better ways.
Caving seems like a major dangerous thing to do....don't understand doing it but maybe it is a guy thing.

How tall is the cave? Were you walking or crawling thru it?
