    Great Review!
This album is brilliant, it really inspired me to play bass, and sometimes I'll just play through the whole thing just for a workout.
I actually think Rob put more physical effort into these parts than any of their other albums.
The themes of the lyrics are strong, and sometimes really pushing boundaries of what most people are comfortable with, which showed how punk they really are.
(also the drumming is god-tier, as with all of their albums)

I drive past the house where this was made most days. It still kind of amazes me, this out of nothing piece of genius.

I would say he put more into it because they were just a 2 piece on this album, so the bass had to be more up front and in the mix and fill in more gaps than what they would do when they added a guitarist to the mix.

Thanks for that. I loved No Means No back in the day. Saw them at least once in Kelowna, maybe once in Vancouver. Owned the album, long gone - guess I should have held onto it!

Nice review but... WRONG; Keye Studios in Victoria was the living embodiment of a "hit factory" type studio. It was slick, slow and expensive. The people involved were really nice and super pro but they simply didn't "get" the band at all; note how clean Robbie's bass is on this album. It was D.I.ed, no miked up Marshall Amp or, in fact, any amp IIRC. Strange bedfellows for sure which resulted in a pretty unique and great record.

I stand corrected! In the early days of this channel, my research wasn’t quite as thorough as it might’ve been! Anyway, thanks for that, that’s a nice piece of detail.
