Okay just want to say one common thread to everything Tegan and Sara does is it gives me the chills. The kind of chills that just signal hearing something so perfect you are just in awe enjoying it. I can't believe how different all the albums are and yet they are are perfect for different reasons too.
it's been one year and I'm still in love with the majestic way you turned a melody driven song, into an harmony driven one, as every acoustic should be. This is academic. I've listened too many acoustic songs where the lead guitar acted like a drum. You're great, for real.
These recent acoustic studio sessions are just so good. I have been following y’all since 2001, “This Business of Art.” I saw you perform in Denver in 2002 with “If It Was You.” I still rock the hoodie from that tour! Later I found songs on limeWire😬 eg Divided from “Under Feet Like Ours.” At one point I even found. A song from “plunk.” All the above just to say, holy fucking moley, y’all have evolved in the most amazing ways. Albums from So jealous to now have been rad. Particularly because y’all are trying new shit! Electronics and all. New sounds and ways to express your art. I’m sure you will never read this but thank you for over 20 years of inspiration. I’m a “retired” touring musician, and when COVID hit I was the technical director/Lighting Engineer at a live music venue in slc. And y’all fucking made it! You never quit, and for that, I am most thankful.
