Atelectasis (at-uh-LEK-tuh-sis) is the collapse of a lung or part of a lung, also known as a lobe. It happens when tiny air sacs within the lung, called alveoli, lose air. Atelectasis is one of the most common breathing complications after surgery.

The (Respiratory Pathology) Division is blank in the site. Please fix the issue
But sir the blocked part of lung is not receiving any new oxygen bia bronchi so it will not be able to send the residual air out. Only blood wil slowly absorb all the oxygwn present in the blocked part and the air sacs will be filled with CO2 which can neither be passed onto blood nor to the nose due to the blockage. Then how and why it will * puncture*?
