Yes, they will work without the internet and you can still watch your smart TV. You’ll be able to watch cable TV channels, connect to Bluetooth and use your TV just like a traditional TV without any issue at all. However, smart TV features such as streaming content on demand from online applications will not be available.
I haven't done a review on the new DU8000 at this time, but I did find a recent comparision reivew for the DU8000 and CU8000. You can check out the review by Rtings.com at the link below and decide which model you prefer. Thanks for your comment. www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/samsung-cu8000-vs-samsung-du8000/39131/55354?usage=1&threshold=0.10
Although I haven't done a comparison review of these models, technically speaking the CU8000 is slightly better than the DU7000. But after doing a bit of quick research, I found both models to be very similar in performance with a slight edge going to the CU8000. That being said, I would recommend the CU8000.
I work at an electronics store. Does anyone know why the 8000 would weigh more than the 7200? Obviously more, like maybe 10 lbs. A customer suggested the LEDs more compact to create the better picture quality?
The guys at Best buy said don't even waste your time with the 8,000, the picture is the same on the two sets if you're not interested in the voice remote, And the Slimmer version. And also, Because the 7200 set is not as slim as the 8000 the speakers tend to have a little bit more bass in them.
@@AidanGreaneynot true at all. I have a Samsung 40 inch six series from 13 years ago when they all started to get rid of the big boxy sets, The set is on all day, almost every day for 13 years and it still has a picture and sound as good as the day I bought it for $750, about the same time we purchased a Panasonic plasma which was rated as the best picture quality that year of any TV and we paid $2500 for a 55 inch which, We use almost as much as the Samsung and it's still going strong. The point I'm trying to make to you is that I could not care about the plasma in the living room because, The Samsung in my bedroom is what I watch 90% of the time and I love it. Both sets have their pluses and minuses.
@@wellrounded713My Samsung 43” is 15 years old. In think it was around $2200 when I bought it and it’s still going strong. It is easily the best tv I’ve ever had and will be a Samsung loyalist going forward

If you're buying an 85 inch TV get the DU8000. It has a 120Hz rate. The 85 inch is the only size that gets the bump from 60Hz to 120Hz.
so $100 difference for 7200 43" vs 8000 43" is a solar charge/voice control remote in my case. I'll take the 7200 thanks!
Wise decision. Thanks for your comment.
The 8000 also has optical out. 7200 does not.
I cancelled my purchase right away once I learned the 7200 had no audio port and the sound was questionable
Do these two TVs work without Internet connection? i have cable tv, just looking for a new TV with a 43 inch screen, with good quality.

I am torn between DU7000 (2024) or CU8000 (2023) as they are both similar prices now. What do you recommend plz

we dont have the du7200 in uk? is it just the same as the du7100 that we do have?
To my understanding the DU7100 is the US equivalent of the DU7200.

I assume its a combination of the TV's panel and internal components.
My TV old af then cause it gets no updates and no new apps or any of the sort
saw the DU7200 in Best Buy TODAY. the picture is not that great. go with the DU8000
Thanks for your comment.
