This video spent way too much time on the red tire shredder in the middle of the video. It was not impressive for that type of machinery. That machine was kind of boring. Now toward the end, the last tire shredder would’ve been a better clip to spend that much time on.

These early shredding machines were not very efficient and we’re terribly slow
Looked like some of those dual rotor shredders the rotors were apart too far. For best results, cams should be as close together as possible to shred the best. On the one, at 3:49 the lids that were tossed in simply went on through without being shredded. Not too impressed with those single rotor ones either.
The machine at 5.22 doesnt seem that strong.

Watching all these metal shredding machine video's, why oh why don't these shredding facilities have a container or hopper beneath the shredders to catch & collect the pieces that fall through the bottom? Instead of the recycled mess just landing on the bare floor, and then having someone with a broom & shovel scoop up the junk. If these companies have the moola to purchase these shredding machines, then why don't they have the moola to buy a hopper or container to collect the stuff going through the machine? Seems to me that these shredding machines are very labor intensive. Yeah, they make a mountain of stuff into molehills, but then you got to sweep up the mess underneath.
