The correct way to approach your bank (if not PSU) is to assume everyone who works there are scammers unless proven otherwise, and you still have to get your work done. Avoid talking to people and use the online services as much as possible.
I treat relationship manager as sales person. They are least bothered about "service" related to account and our technical issues. They always want us to buy something new or make new investments. I do not entertain them. I ignore them.
While I understand your point and that you have to advertise your sponsor, but I would rather buy my Insurance from an experienced full-time Insurance agent/agency who should be a phone call away during my need, don't have any issue in paying commissions if I get the service.

RMs get very little salary, their entire pay is tied to cross selling various products of the banks ranging from ULIPs, credit cards, demat accounts and mutual funds. Also, the RM do not get a commission for mutual funds fees but they definitely get bonuses from their employer. Mutual fund distributors get commissions from Mutual Fund fees. (Which is just as bad btw)
you can start amc without any cfa just like me i have several count not many like Mutual funds bt yes basic skills and 12th is enough you just have to knowledgeable in stock market
