      Don't go on any books because some foolish writers say wrong things from that gentleman in books but in reality the gentleman had not said. Always follows your own feelings. If you gone on world, world will destroy your mind and then the true soul will die.

    Really great stuff here. The puzzle at the end is a bimetallic coin with two layers of metal that respond to heat differently. The metal is warmed and pressed in by your fingers. When you put it on the table they cool down at different rates, so when the one side contracts faster than the other it causes the disc to restore its flat form at a critical point making it pop up. My grandfather had coins like that about 35+ years ago, when I was a kid.

      I do DIY repairing on small appliances - e-kettles have these in the overheat cutout near to the element and in the switch where steam is directed at the bimetallic disk to turn it off when boiling.

    I'm guessing, for the brain teaser, that while the small metal disc was in your hand the temperature of your body was enough to cause it to expand and flatten out. Then, as it cooled to room temperature it hit a point where it contracted rapidly creating enough force to defy gravity for a few moments. However, it should be noted that moments before blasting off the small metal disc whipped out a pair of shades, struck a pose, and shouted, "THERMAL EXPANSION BABY!!! WOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo…………..."

    they are steel
    ,
    and they are pressed in the middle and become concave
    ,
    after that, they are placed with the "hole" down
    ,
    and when the steel returns to its original shape (concave in the opposite direction) it jumps.
    Sorry for my English.

  • @Thestorminator89

    As you press the coin it changes shape slightly, which gives it potential energy like a spring. At the same time the heat from your hands cause the metal to expand slightly which causes the coin to hold the pressed down shape. Once the coin has cooled down enough, it then contracts which releases the potential energy and jumps into the air like a spring.... Maybe. Lol.

    What makes the ice spin like that?

    • @jaquigreenlees
      @jaquigreenlees 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dry Ice, aka frozen carbon dioxide, is volatile when added to water, essentially exploding into gaseous form as it warms up in the water. The "jets" of gas escaping from the chunk of ice is an un-contained rocket thrust that moves the ice in different directions continually.
