    I was once told that our greatest revenge against those who have hurt us, is to LIVE WELL.

      Yes ...and also when we 'accept' our past (note: this does NOT mean accepting that what happened in the past was OK) we let go of the need to seek revenge - THIS IS TRUE FREEDOM.

      @@WuWeiWisdom So you're saying that justice is not important? What about justice for others? We are not hurt only by bad things that happen to us, but to others as well. If they suffer, who are we to say "well, whatever, I'll pretend nothing is happening and I can have peace." We can't have peace until this world if free of evil. Our need for justice is NOT the problem, like you make it seem. Evil is the problem. Would you be able to let go if it was your loved one who suffer?

      designer356 I think Wu Wei Wisdom doesn't mean Justice isn't important. It's just that IN REALITY, Justice can't protect every victims or prevent all crimes. So in this vedio, Wu Wei Wisdom suggested that if bad things happened to us unfortunately, we have to accept the fact first ( the fact that the bad thing did happen). Then, since we don't have a time machine to go back and prevent the bad thing from happening, that means we cannot changed what had happened. Also, in reality and in fact, the earth keeps moving, life must go on, every body else are moving on. So it is not worth to dwell ourselves to the moaning and groaning and devastating past that we cannot change. Yet we can change our mind and control our emotions. It doesn't mean 'pretend nothing is happening'. Rather, we acknowledged that the bad things did happen. But we have to think a way out, to live through it and live much much better! To release our true potentials! It is said that bad things happen to us are challenges in our life and if we can overcome them, we can be a much much better person! Just like David said , be determined in the right direction, in the right way, and we will see a brighter future. I don't know what happened to you / your family. No offend * But I hope you can overcome the past and move forward to a fabulous future! Oprah Winfrey lived through her bad times too and grown up to be a very successful lady! Her story is very encouraging! I'm still learning though. Have faith in yourself buddy! Cheers

      In all fairness esp for me it’s easier to let go when the offender owns up. I never plan to hold on to ANY bad memory but it’s harder when they issue isn’t fully resolved. Whether I move on or not, that other person moved on thinking they did nothing wrong. But oh well that’s life sometimes

    I love this video. You gave me many wonderful images to help get unstuck. Stepping off the carousel; just get rid of the garbage even though someone else put it there unfairly; tell myself what is best for my life to flourish; I am so powerful that I survived that; I can stubbornly insist on staying in the present; it's my life, my mind, my body, I steer this ship. I love you guys. I will watch this 100 times until it sinks in.

    The problem is: often times, the holding on is not a conscious choice, rather a deeper core injury that one has no conscious control of that somehow must be resolved or dealt with. Forcing a letting go consciously is often not strong enough if the nature of injury has a deep stronghold and creates a double injury in the individual leading to a sense of self betrayal and resulting in an inability potentially to trust oneself. It has to reach to the root. Something deep there needs to be fully heard and resolved.

      I agree, honoring my survival of what happened to me, means a full disclosure of it, often I find there was more to the abuse than I knew. Deep injuries need deep healing, this feels a little bit like " get over it already ", and I get what is being said, don't let abuse define you too much but if I am unaware of an issue how can I let it go? I accepted what happened consciously, and it is an ongoing process. Lot's of layers. I bypassed true healing for a long time by accepting and forgiving too soon. My path is my own,I will walk or run it the way that's best for me.

    A few years ago after my second marriage that lasted only one year, married to a Narcissist, the Lord gave me revelation about why people do what they do that hurts others.
    The Lord told me that people only do what they know, what they have learned or been taught and can never and will never do anything different until they choose to learn something different so they can do something different.
    Since then I was more recently shown how to look at the past hurts and the people who hurt me.
    Rather than thinking about the pain they caused me, I received revelation to focus on what I learned from the people who hurt me. Focus on the fact, you learned things you never want to do that hurts others. Focus on the fact , you learned how to love others the way you wanted to be loved by those that hurt you.
    I personally have learned from all those that have hurt me, how important words are and how they effect others. Word can give life or cause death.
    Death and Life are in the power of the tongue.
    I have learned how to build others up with my words and actions rather than tear them down with painful words and actions. I have learned how to be compassionate toward others and can feel their pain.
    I have learned people only do what they know and how not to hurt others the way they hurt me. I have learned how to show love to others even when they are unloving and hateful.
    If you do anything at all to work on letting go of your past hurts, find one thing you learned from the person or persons that hurt you and you now know how to do or not do what they did to you.

    I had to witness in a domestic assault case today against my ex. He got on the stand and flat out lied about me. He was found guilty but the lies were the ultimate betrayal. He made himself the victim after abusing me and shamed our son by lieing under oath. This is going to be hard to let go.

    • @viewmodeimages350
      @viewmodeimages350 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Abusive people ALWAYS play the victim. After I left my abusive ex-husband, he went around telling HUGE lies about me and destroying my reputation. I had to make a new network of friends and start life over.
      But I promise you, time always tells. My ex-husband has been abusive and petty and childish with other people and people have worked out how narcissistic and controlling he is. Years later, people have been telling me stories about him and how pathetic he is and they choose to be friends with me now. In the end, his true colours showed, I just had to wait. I worked hard, rebuilt my life, and people can see the evidence that I am a good person who created a positive life, while my ex is going around having huge melt downs, abusing our friends or ‘punishing’ them for not doing what he wants and showing his disgusting narcissistic self. In the end, abusers always show their true colours. I am glad you are rid of him 👍🏻 You are MUCH better off without that loser ❤️

    Acceptance of red light feelings didn't resonate with me for the longest time, until this other aspect of it dawned on me. Hello from Thailand. Just want to tell you both that discovering your channel is a gift of life. It warms my heart immensely. I have been going through big transition in my life and it seems better but I feel lonely sometimes. When I chose to let go of my old identity that was built over decade of marriage, family business and all the material things that I don’t take with me...it has been a journey to recover from this grief and re discover who I am. Letting go of the negative patterns, understand why I keep attracting similar event or relationship in both negative (and positive ways) brought me to your VDO. I was able to let go my anger, resentment and fearful memory from my marriage then I start to see that the source of this attraction came from what hurt me as I grew up as a child. What I have been holding on to, could not let go and keep punishing myself and my parents. Today I am ready to let go of the past, peaceful and loving space will arise. Thank you for every details, analogy, and psychology in teaching behind this VDO of 32 minutes. I know you did so much preparation. God blessed you, good karma may bring you and your family much joy, good health and abundance ❤️ Waan

    • @peterbrennan2388
      @peterbrennan2388 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@WuWeiWisdom sure. im saying in my opinion- the full impact of abuse by parents is frequently not even acknowledged by people. this is a survival mechanism. to realise how aweful a parent really is might literally kill us as a child. A lot of healing comes from acknowleging gradually how abusive a parent really was. and that impact is in the nervous system. the homones. deeply rooted in every cell of the body. not just as a thought that we can change. that's my take anyway.

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Peter,
      I'm still trying to understand your comments. 😊
      Are you saying that childhood abuse is somehow stored in your cells? And then released hormones enter into your blood system without your knowledge or control?
      Then you go on to say that acknowledgement brings about healing... isn’t that acknowledgement coming from your thoughts and beliefs as we said in the video?
      Thank you for taking the time and trouble to watch and comment on our work.

    Thank you. I know deep down this is the case but it really helps to hear it from the outside. I know justice is blindfolded to seek it within and be still. I was falsely imprisoned for 2 years and my partner was murdered in a robbery during my incarceration totally unrelated. It all felt very unfair. I know I went there to clear up karma as my autistic half sister was imprisoned 15 years ago and died before she completed her 2 year sentence. I also discovered that I too am autistic after I was released which is why I had all these issues. It's about becoming my own authority and even though I felt I lost that battle, I gained gold in spiritual strength and understanding.

    Bravo again! Trying to move forward from what occurred to me just two days ago…a person I’m doing business with didn’t want to hear what our clients told me about a presentation I did….which was positive feedback, but they wanted me to discuss their concerns with the person I’m in business with. Basically he didn’t want to have a meeting to discuss what I heard from the clients (I confronted him about meeting). I called him to find out why. He really didn’t want to hear what I had to say;only told me what he heard. Yeah, I’m mad. I’m not going to lie about that, but I get what you’re saying and trying to see the lesson and move on. BTW, from day one I picked up something not quite right about him. Oh well, on to find other clients. Taking a two week rest first with good supportive friends. 😊

    One of the greatest experiences in what I call human existence is pain caused by others. The fact is that we live in a world with evil people. These evil people cause harm to others without realizing the wrongs they have committed themselves and were the ones carrying the burden. Letting go isn’t easy, forgiving isn’t easy. Pain and suffering isn’t easy. The fact is that life can at times be cruel and unjust. I’ve suffered a terrible tragedy, which I’m barely surviving. My career and livelihood was taken from me, all the work, years of sacrifice, pain, difficulty that I endured to overcome my past just one day, buff all gone. Now I find myself lost, broken hearted, future unknown, fighting legal battles in court to regain what was taken from me so unjustifiable. Days, nights, hours and minutes I wonder why all this and what’s truly the purpose? Often times I thought that maybe taking revenge and making those responsible pay for their actions would be such a sweet victory. But is it? Many times I even question the existence of a spiritual being that allows the innocent to suffer yet the evil ones to prosper. I guess I’m venting on this platform but I have yet recovered and I’m living a life without purpose. That at times I wonder if life truly worth fighting for and why... yet a gleamer is hope, a very small gleamer keeps me going. Not sure what this gleamer is, but I keep asking myself that this can exist forever but at times it does. It takes a very strong individual, mentally to overcome their own inner demons. Depression sets in, the fact that you’re merely existing but not living becomes part of your routine. Being alone, having no support, or someone to lean on to inspire you also hurts. We were not born to be alone, let alone have a lack of a family nucleus, community, etc finding a new purpose or reason to move forward has been one of my greatest obstacles to overcome. But I’ve been guilty of allowing the past stop me from growth... I know this personally, but the question remains. When will I let go?

    You know David I never ever thought that I was the one who was really wronged. To me the wrongs I did far outweighed any wrong that was ever done to me. While listening to this I have begun to realise that I have been holding onto to the past is because I fear my life would really get better. Part of me believes I don’t deserve a good life and if I start to let go and experience good feelings and a great life then at some point it will all come crashing down because of the life I lived. I know it not rational to think like this and as I was writing I just heard the last bit of the video where you say that the attitude I should adopt is no matter what happens I can deal with it. I like that. It has given me tremendous food for thought this video and eased up a lot of pent up emotions. I have listened to two videos tonight. I am amazed at the insight I have gained from them. It’s been a while since I have been following the teachings. In fact I don’t believe I have watched a wu wei video for a couple of months. It’s amazing how much this has opened my eyes tonight though. I really appreciate the work yourself and Alex do. They are marvellous teachings. Much love to both of you ❤️

    I've only seen highly narcissistic people behave as you describe, but if a person has an intact conscience and has also been abused it is my experience that most often they will go to great lengths to avoid blaming their parents, even forgetting entire chunks of their life if necessary to keep their false narrative of their 'happy family' or 'perfect childhood' alive. It is only after they are suffering bad enough for long enough that finally their awareness shifts just enough to get through their denial and their false beliefs. They cannot improve until they name the core problem. We will be unconsciously hanging onto dysfunctional behaviors, defense mechanisms, low self esteem, depression, anxiety and/or other serious and even life threatening symptoms of trauma and often waste our lives and money trying to "fix" what was never broken in the first place and will have no trouble finding someone willing to take their money to at best do nothing, and at worst blame them, feed into the false narrative and traumatize them even further. I get that identifying as a victim is not helpful, but before we can get to where you say we need to be we need to first get familiar with the truth. We deny that we were abused.. We refuse to blame our family because we know our entire world will disintegrate, and we will be left with nothing and no one, naked and alone if we don't. Most people will do anything to avoid that if they can, and it is this not blame that I find most often keeps people stuck and it can be years in therapy that they never talk about anything but diagnoses., symptoms and medication

    Thanks a lot for this video. What should I do if I consciously believe in everything you say, but I still can't let go? I'm holding on to my unjust past because I don't know how to function differently. It's basically automatic now. And that makes the carousel go faster, since I feel not only betrayed by myself, but also totally out of control, which makes me even more bitter towards my past. I've been followed by a psychotherapist for almost 2 years now and many things have changed for the better, but this particular thing is the main issue I can't blossom yet. I'm so deeply sad, I feel robbed of my happiness and, yet, I try to do something, but I'm not consistent. I just want to be loved.

      Hi Mildred - thanks for watching and commenting. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the video.
      Your question is a good one and we can cover this in a future video - thank you!
      Self- acceptance is the key to letting go of past 'wrong decisions' - the question for you to consider in your mediations is: what is keeping you holding on to this particular decision? The answer will help you begin a process of self-enquiry to find the root/core misunderstanding, and which we call the 'Golden Thread'

    My roton family is still doing it. When I was 9 my mom put in a bath tub and of cold water and in the dark with the lights off, needless to say today I don't like cold water a darken place. I have Trichtillomia sinse 14, 66 now and a pinched nerve in my neck, those are holding me back. How can I forget the passed if the pass is the present. I'm a tough case here

    I love your videos, I truly do ... I have a lot of childhood trauma and things in present life serve as what I call 'triggers', which can bring on tears and episodes of such sadness and return of reliving these episodes. You constantly hammer on "let it go" when discussing these red flag emotions, but not once do you go through HOW to let it go. It's as if we are simply able to dust it off and whoosh, it is gone. Letting it go is not as easy as you speak it. As in, "Why are you hanging on...", as you put it - as if it is voluntary. It is not. At least for many, I am sure. Not for me. in any case. I have tried tools, like writing down events on a little note in my mind, having an angel carry the note away (don't laugh) and letting the event be gone ... believe me, I have tried. With all respect, this letting go business is not as easy as you make it seem, otherwise millions of people such as myself wouldn't still be suffering well into adulthood, even after parents have since passed on. If you have anything else other than the words, 'Let it go', I'd be most grateful. Sincerely thank you for your time in a lengthy comment ...

    Yes it carries down thru successive generations like a generic disorder but the chain can be broken thru acceptance and forgiving both yourself and the perpetrator. 🙏

    My problem is: my brain equates acceptance of unfair and unjust things that have happened to me as an approval of what happened. To me it means I am totally okay with it. The person who did committed the biggest injustice against me doesn’t even know that one decision she made a few years ago has changed the entire trajectory of my career. She is an executive where I work, so I can’t necessarily tell her what she did. She’s so far above me that there is no way she’d agree to a meeting w/me; and I doubt she’d take responsibility for what she did. I cannot stop ruminating about it. Just when I think I’ve moved on, I get another rejection email for a job I’ve applied for and all the feelings come back. Now I’m stuck in a job that is making me extremely depressed.

    I think not letting go of the person who done you harm is the need to hold them accountable. But yes it is important to let go.

    I don't want to hold on to the past, but ptsd keeps a broken record going over and over and it makes me a mad a person. I can get past it but some of my family members continue with their abuse that went on for so long that I have to consider with drawing myself from them altogether to heal. My decision to pick up a 2 nd job to justify my withdrawal from them. No talking to them with their false narratives which continue today. I have had enough. A second job will give me financial support and break those dysfunctional ties of the abuse cycle.

    This made me smile. I remember going for counselling once, and before we started i said, right I don't want to talk abt my childhood anymore, I'm bored with that 😂😂😂 within 5 minutes she'd picked up something and questioned why u thought that, and of course it was my childhood 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

    What if trauma in childhood lead to very bad decisions as an adult. Now, 30 years later I'm stripped of confidence, self esteem and worth. Let only with fear of running my own life. He left 10 years ago and 'm still full of fear and backing myself into a corner.
