You know what would be really awesome? Matchup episodes/guides. I feel really comfortable in some matchups but in certain matches against characters I’m still lost. Something that covers what to do against various characters. Game plan, what to look out for and how to punish them/with what (when can you take your turn back and stuff) would be sensational. There’s a ton of tech guides out there but not a whole lot of character specific matchup guides/tutorials that explain stuff as thoroughly as you do. You don’t gotta give away all your secret tech but like something to help out fellow Ken players that feel lost in matchups would be a great service.
btw guys at 29:05 s.HP, c.MP, DR, c.HP run stop, c.mp, DR, s.MP, c.HP into HK jinrai, LK jinrai, LK jinrai, HK jinrai, SA3 this does 5746 at SA & 5996 at CA 😁
This is excellent and exactly what I was looking for. Im a Diamond 3 Ken but have desperately looking for resources to help my footsies/what to do in neutral as I feel my footsies are weaker than I want them to be if I want to reach Master. Thanks for your hard work. Your explain things really well and throughly which I appreciate.
I’m glad I came across this. Your commentary and the input data is helpful. I’m an old SF player who skipped 4-5 so 6’s timing is weird to me. Thank you.
You use analog stick? First time I've seen that. I'm gonna have to try the trigger for run. Right now I have L2 DI, and L1 Parry, but I often can't pull the trigger far enough in time to react to another DI. Pressing LK MK with your thumb is also always awkward, so giving them their own button is a good idea. I literally only became interested in this game because I saw how cool they made Ken look.
I understand the run into tatsu for corner carry, but Why not do chin buster(target combo) into run dragonlash kick? It does more damage than Shoryuken.
great guide man, just wondering why you use analog over dpad are there any benefits or is it just comfort? i struggle with drive rush on the analog stick
i always prefered analog stick because i played fps before playing fighting games, but there was a new change on monday you can now press mp&mk at the same time to get a drive rush cancel, no dashes needed just make sure the stick is neutral or holding forward, thanks for watching!
Hello, great video. I have a couple questions. I am new to SF, first SF. One massive struggle for me is knowing input tricks for DP. When you say that if you get a counter standing LP, it’s easy to confirm into standing LK and then DP because you said you’re holding forward already.. which means the DP is just a half circle / haduken motion. My question is why are you holding forward? Do you see the sLP hit (counter) then hold forward, then do do sLK + half circle for DP? Or are you just holding forward during buttons? I’d like vid on various SF input tricks. There are many new SF players and there’s so many little tricks that it’s hard to keep track of. I’m struggling to DP from crouch.. shit sucks with how bad kens crouch fierce is Again great video!
thankyou for your comment, and the reason you are holding forward is only for the possibility of the counter hit, no other reason, with street fighter 5, st lp into st lk linked without counterhit so its been drilled into my brain regardless, but this one is slightly harder with the counter hit, but yeh thats the only reason to be holding forward is the chance of ch and to make the dp easier. as for the input tricks, to my knowledge obviously im only thinking of this in about 30 secs, you have the dp tech with lk holding forward, or if you are going for grab in corner hold forward then if u see they jump u just have to do hadoken motion for the dp. and crosscut motion which is forward to down back as they reach over your head, crouching dp is simply spamming down to down forward 2-3 times, i hope this helps, thankyou for watching!
Hey bro I’m back with another couple questions if you don’t mind 1. Is there any input tricks for dp from crouching? I can do cross cut more consistently than dp from crouch. Is dp from crouch necessary in your opinion? In silver I was being jumped in on a ton, but could deal with it. In diamond I am being jumped in on more but they are spacing it out way better and I am just getting destroyed. Almost all my losses are cuz I can’t stop the jumping. Kens crouch fierce is something awful so I donno what to do 2. I notice you use crouch medium punch after your crouch medium kick into DR. Other kens go right into run stop after cMK -> DR. are you confirming the crouch medium kick? Is this even possible? Thanks in advance, I put a lot of SF newb friends I have onto your page. We are having a great time with this game.

Great guide and a lot of info I didn´t know. I liked the cr.hp run cancel shenanigans a lot since many people just spam neutral jump.
Heres a cheeky comment to feed the algorithm 👍
Im sat here watching this thinking it could all be better yet still i want to play zangief. Thanks for the tutorial!

🎉Please make a guide on how to play with a ps4 pad
Why do you have all 3 punches mapped to L1? Is there even anything in the game that requires all 3?
no reason, thats just default
