SP 4449 & UP 844 Doubleheader Arrive In Vancouver, WA

On May 12th, 2007, SP 4449 (4-8-4) and UP 844 (4-8-4) arrive in Vancouver, WA about 3 hours late. I was a little disappointed to see 4449 on point though because i've never seen UP 844 on point before.

I arrived in Vancouver just as 4449/844 departed for Tacoma. But got a good going away shot. I was on the center portion of the station platform towards the end of your video.

Don't be disappointed that the ol '49 is on point...she deserves it given her great history! (Freedom Train, World War II service, public service transportation, and fundraiser - the Polar Express)

4449 and 844 are also both famous for taking part in the 50th Aniversary of the Union Passager station back in 1989.
This version of 844 (once numbered 8444) is lovely but I prefer the grey version.
4449 is my number one top loco.
