Some other things we have given in the past that my kids especially enjoyed were a 3D pen, a 3D printer, LEGO Mindstorms, jewelry making supplies, cake decorating and candy making supplies, and MP3 players with headphones and a blue tooth speaker.

3 and 6 year old homeschool boys here. We did quite a few board games (many which have been inspired by your channel), razor scooters, Lego accessories, DIY Blank Comic books, and I put together a little "nature art" to-go bag (travel watercolor palette, mini water color pad, travel water cup, water pens inside of a dollar tree cosmetic bag). The big Santa gifts they asked for is a piano so my 6 yr old is getting a portable keyboard lol and my 3 year old wants guitar so he is getting a little ukulele. Everything bought through some sort of sale or deal!

8 year old boy is getting a remote control whale shark for the pool, basketball for the pool, and an archery target, and Legoland FL passes. 15 year old boy is getting footballs and private kicking/punting lessons. Adult kids get gift cards and weathertech mats for cars.

Emily has such a sweet heart... She sounds like my daughter. Such a big heart for animals ❤ My daughter has always wanted and still wants to be a veterinarian.

Another idea is musical instruments. Last year we got our kids a drum set, an electric guitar, and a small (maybe 3/4 size) acoustic guitar. We already had a piano and a few keyboards, so we also purchased an online music lesson subscription service. Our teenage son was especially interested in playing a bass guitar, so he got one for his birthday.

I have a 16, 14 and 11 year old boys. Buying for them was HARD this year. They gave me little to no ideas. But, I soldiered on. For my 14 year old he is on the ski team at school so I bought him all things ski, wool socks, a phone koozy to save battery life in the cold, a book about fear written by a famous downhill racer, racing gloves, a backpack to store all of his equipment in since he will be going back and forth to home>school>ski hill every day. I also got him warm wool under layers and soft sweats from the Gap to wear with his long underwear. My 16 year old was the hardest but he did give me some ideas. He wanted three books on WWII. I’m alway happy to buy books. He wanted pins and patches from certain WWI regiments. Done. He needed pants and shirts and hoodies. Hoodies are all the rage for teens these days! His computer needed some major upgrades so my husband bought him new insides. I wish I knew exactly what that is, maybe a new hard drive and graphics card. My 11 year old was much easier to buy for. He still really loves Legos so I was happy to buy Legos to keep him busy and off screens. I purchased him the Lego Porsche. It was not cheap but it is SO cool! He also got the Lego Maclaren. He is really into Lego and these two sets are going to keep him busy for a long while. He also received several hoodies. I like to buy for my boys hoodies from Hannah Andersson at Christmas time. They are a little more pricy but very much worth it. My youngest is the only one who still fits into Hannah Andersson. Bitter sweet. My youngest also is getting some books, nice new socks from Bombas, a wooden castle building kit and new pajamas. My kids are spoiled. I’ll admit that. But I love buying for Christmas. I truly think about it all year long. Thank you for sharing Emily’s gifts. I hope your family has a wonderful Christmas. Merry Christmas!🎄 May the season bring you peace and joy and happiness!😊😘♥️

We have a pickle ornament. We have 3 kids. I don't buy a special present for the pickle. Usually the one to find it gets to open the first gift.

My son wanted Mario Lego sets. He asked for the Luigi starter set and one big set. My older daughter asked for a faux leather jacket and we got her a chromebook. Our youngest just asked for toys. We got her the Barbie camper along with a Barbie tent set and BBQ. Both our younger two got new coats too, just not leatherish and they each got another small gift. They all have 4 packages wrapped and tied together with a ribbon. Santa is bringing them all RC cars that flip over and do tricks along with a stocking of fun. We also do jammies, books, and chocolate on Christmas Eve along with a family game (sometimes more than one).

My 9 year old is getting the Wings of Fire and Warrior series this year. Some clothes from Justice, craft stuff, new gloves, and an American Girl size husky doll. Her big gift is concert tickets for her favorite band.
My 7 year old is getting some Disney and science themed level reader books, Justice clothes, craft stuff, new gloves, and an American Girl size pomeranian doll. Her big gift is ear buds.
Their stockings have some candy, mini puzzles, pens, bath bombs, lip gloss, mystery mini figures, small Lego kits...
Many years ago we bought a southwest version of the pickle, a chili pepper 🌶️, and the gift for that is Guess Who.

So sweet what she told Santa! 🥺🐬 My gift ideas would be fort building kit, stepping stones for floor is lava, snow saucers for sliding in the snow, basketball hoop, magnatiles, Nintendo switch, LOL OMG house, anything American girl doll or our generation. I’ve been eyeing the instax camera. I’ll wait until my daughter is older and asks for one!

We did a vet set to go with my daughter’s American girl, and a table top air hockey table for my son! Those are their main/big gifts. My daughter asked for a dog from Santa...so that’s tough, but we are going to volunteer at our local shelter and take donations. I think she will love it☺️

I love your family. So sweet. My kids would be so disappointed if I gave them book or boardgames/puzzles! Funny how kids are so different! We tried the pottery studio and it didn't work for us. I took several pottery classes in college so I know what I'm doing...and the thing just didn't have enough power to work. You have to pres down really hard to center the clay, but the motor would just barely crawl...we weren't ever able to get it very centered.... and threw it away after the first use... My son is getting a one-wheeler and a soccer goal, my daughter is getting a guitar, and a GAB phone.... maybe a few other little things like some amber jewelry or some garland for her room... WE are just doing a two BIG gifts this year instead of a bunch of small things...

Oh and I bought the Extraordinaires Design studio....but I think I'm just going to use it for school instead of give it as a gift... but look that up if you havent already!

You have the best ideas! My little boy will be five in a very short time and is reading books. He wanted to read chapter books himself so I ordered the Hey Jack series from Usborne. I got him a speak and spell since he is into spelling and reading so much. We bought him the Leapfrog interactive globe -- he loves learning about "land formations" -- his words LOL. Ofcourse, he like many his age, loves the new Disney+ Spidey and His Amazing Friends so I purchased him 2 books, a Spiderman costumes (50% off after Halloween) and some of the toys. I also got him several different kinds of building blocks to see which he gravitated toward. I get so many educational ideas from you -- we are gonna homeschool my guy starting next fall!!! Merry Christmas!

You always have such fun ideas!!! But you have to tell me girl.... where & how do you store all of it?! And what do you do with books etc once she has filled them in & finished them (like the story illustrator) I have 5 kiddos under the age of 12 and only 1 will keep her stuff manageable.... the rest want to keep EVERYTHING!

    • @TheWaldockWay

She will choose to make room on her bookshelf in her room for them or once she's done we will take pictures and toss them. I am pretty strict about things fitting on the shelves we have (with myself as well as her) of I buy new games or books I purge to make room or squeeze them in, lol.
I have neices and nephews who are younger and two amazing teachers in my life so I share and donate things we outgrow that aren't consumable.

These were great ideas! I almost bought that camera for my 7 year old and a digital one for my 9 year old, but ended up with digital for both since they love to take pictures and their brother has an instax camera it would get pricey! Their new digital cameras are small and much better then the pro one I bought 13 years ago lol. Looks like I will borrow theirs for Disney!

I just added half this stuff to my Amazon cart, lol... Question- do the anatomy puzzles all fit together into a huge person or are they just meant to be individual puzzles? I'm thinking if they do that would make an awesome wall display.

The FedEx person was kind enough to hand my daughter her Christmas gift (iPod touch), so we got creative, and we are making over her room to Superhero Girls with a new lamp, bed spread, and poster. I really have had to start getting her things on her list and not things I want her to want.
