This is fantastic, and the addition of the macaron cards are perfect considering her extravagant taste.
I always find myself drawn to more dirty, rusty, grunginess...especially things verging on creepy & old. Then I see your works with happy, bright pops of color everywhere, a splash of aged grunge, & without being too complicated...it makes ME feel happy too! I never thought I'd find joy in so much color...but you bring it, every time. This journal is just gorgeous.💖

I LOVE this journal! Your choice of papers is so eclectic, yet everything works together. I love your videos. When my sewing machine gets cranky, I find that if I clean the area under the feed dogs and the space that holds the bobbin, my problem clears up. I sew a lot of paper, and this creates a lot of lint that is not always easily visible until I clean with a small brush. Keep up the good work!

It was interesting to see how you put your journal together. The stencils were a nice addition. Marie and Louis lived in their royal bubbles; they lost touch with ordinary citizens and the times. How could they not see the despair, anger and ultimate violence of the French people? Dangerous times!

Wow, this is incredible! I don't even like pink that much but it was so nice, along with the other colours too.
The pages just kept coming, this was a chunky monkey for sure, but still looked like it had room for more.
Loved the tapestry, doilies and real ephemera. Some big lace would have gone with her theme too, along with pearls and jewels. But it was so beautiful. 💜👌😊

Ahhhhwwee Großes Kino, ganz großes Kino du wundervolle Barbaraaaa❤. Ich schau schon das zweite Mal. Du hast mich gecatcht mit einem Thema, von dem ich bis jetzt nicht dachte, dass dies möglich ist. Das Rokoko birgt ja doch die Gefahr ins kitschig Süße abzudriften. ABER, non, non du hast etwas ganz wundervoll Bezauberndes geschaffen. Es ist charmant bis ins kleinste Detail. Wie du die Signaturen zusammen gestellt hast, die Farben, Schablonen, die Ephemeras, dazu die Stoffstücke, ehrlich Barbara, ich bin hin und weg😮, hin und weg. Dazu noch deine Einführung ins Video mit den wichtigen Stationen aus MA's Leben und darüber hinaus. Großartig! Dieses Video kommt auf meine Liste der allerbesten Videos ever. Du bist wirklich so eine wundervolle Künstlerin. Du schaffst es immer wieder in deinen Werken, deine schöne Seele durchblitzen zu lassen. I needed some folders/packs to keep my papers for decorating Christmas gift packaging. Your squishy and puffy journal cover inspired me to look around in my house. I did not find any batting and decided to use layers (many!) of newspaper and magazine pages and cheap paper tape for quick fastening. I glued various fabrics on top. Worked awesome, I love the sound of these packs. I will not be searching for my papers before busy seasons anymore. And will be motivated to add to them (fun motivates usage, doesn’t it). Thanks a lot for all you share!

Beautiful journal and I love the colors - even though I'm not a "pink" kind of person!! Very nice job. You might try a new needle if you continue having sewing machine issues. When my machine skips stitches, I have either threaded it wrong (sometimes I get sidetracked or in a hurry) or my needle has gotten dull. I am notorious for getting frustrated with my machine and then realizing I haven't changed needles for months and so many projects I make the change and we are both happy again! 💝💝💝 TFS

Thank you for sharing her history. It initially didn't sit well for me about how history portrayed her as soulless and condescending to the poor, but propaganda is a common tool in the political arena - so was hesitating doing any artwork about her.
The journal is beautiful but I have to point out that it is not a doillie technically. It's duck cloth/ crossstitch canvas/cloth with a lace border. The cross-stitched embroidery on the cover is beautiful. Have you seen the historical black work embroidery. It's very classic in design and available online. Doillies are tatted or crocheted just like lace.

It's a lovely DCC kit! I'm in love with the mermaid one 😍. Ooh, a wrinkle solution! Cool 😎. I didn't know she was Austrian! 3 foot high hair?😱😂 bet it was heavy. I thought my 80's Mohawk was tall lol. Champagne glasses are rumoured to be styled to look like her bosom🙊. Cool vintage ephemera. Oh that image is perfect for the inside cover! I need a villainous potion! But it doesn't go with that journal. It's looking gorgeous 😍I love the quirkiness if your sewing. Absolutely stunning😍 you really did the kit justice!
