I bought yesterday a 2007 zx10r from a guy and apparently the battery does not get charged and he knew about it and sold it to me. the reason I didn't find out is because he had it all the time charging through the wall in his garage. what an asshole! it also has bad leaking fork seals. extended swingarm 7inch and badly maintained chain. I bought it for $4k. with all these troubles is it really worth the 4k? How do I troubleshoot this issue. the bike also has weird idle it does jump up down in rpm is that normal or is it because of low battery causing misfire? Btw, was it the stator the reason your battery is not charging or rectifier or both?
How did you take those 4 bolts out.... doing the same thing to my gen4 right now and I can’t no for the life of me get those darn bolts out.... I already stripped one fml I don’t want to strip the others..... I knew these darn things had loctite on them F off
Your stator looks pretty clean, it may be your regulator rectifier or even one of your crank shaft sensors. Take you fairing off next time. Not my favourite video.
I have the same bike man I've been watching a couple of your Mechanic videos. I'll post up some on how to do it right without fucking shit up or losing bolts. Or damaging parts/components. Now I spend Hours and Take my time to do things right. So please use what I give you as advice. Not for me to be an ass. There are right ways and wrong ways. Anytime your messing with wires disconnect the Battery please.
When my little disappointed to watch a video that shows you learning how to take your stator off for the first time if you don't know what you're talking about don't make a video
Not a lot of mechanics want to make videos on how to do it. That way you have to pay them to do it. And I couldn't find any videos on it at the time. But if you learn something from it you shouldn't be to disappointed. Sorry

I dk but if you strip one best way is to get a bigger allen wrench and use hammer to hit it in there

Why you are changing your bike coil? Is your bike missing problem? Thats why you change it or another problem?
It turned out to be the starter i made a video lot of the gen 5s starters are going iut around 9k to 15k miles

SUMMER DOVE it was my starter lot of guys having problems at around 12k miles. The magnets are breaking.
