I am just now in the market for a data sim. Also a big fan of your channel. Searched for data sim cards and this video was third. Nice. Big fan, take care
I'd suggest being extremely careful about what you access with that card, given the origin. Good video overall, but that camera motor sounds like it's dying. :P
An interesting SIM card, you could also use it in wildlife cameras. I've been looking for a solution like this for a while, so the video comes at the right time.
Okay, I don’t mind the reviews. But this review, based solely on your experience of “so-and-so doesn’t work here anymore” should have been a solid thumbs down. That’s very sketchy and makes me wonder what kind of business they’re running. I can’t see how you could recommend them in good conscience. Look, I get that getting free stuff is fun, but do you really want to sacrifice your credibility for some free SIMs?
2:50 I have noticed that birds tend to land on the highest location. Perhaps if you build a "T" shaped PVC structure (or similar), and mount it above and behind the camera (on the same post), the birbs will choose to land on the "T" and not poop on your solar panel.
Dude, you're basically putting your Chinese camera on a Chinese network. No offense to Chinese people, I love you guys 😄 Setting the APN is basically setting a proxy. EDIT: re-edit, I might not have my facts in order, so I retract it
can it switch carriers automatically if there is no service for a particular carrier in an area? Like if you were traveling in a car using the device for GPS and you were on Verizon, but then entered an area with no Verizon, but had ATT coverage. Would the sim switch to ATT automatically?? Or would you have to switch it manually somehow?
I installed one of these cards in my Reolink go pt plus camera; worked for about a week, then I started getting motion alerts but the camera would not connect for a live streaming. I took the camera down and did a factory reset but the card won’t connect to the network. Frustrating!
Mine has been working fine so far, and the last time I tried one of their cards it lasted quite a while as well. I suppose it's possible to get a bad one, sometimes I've had issues with cards straight from the cell phone company.
A good thing. Now we are waiting for satellite Internet for mobile devices of some kind-Elon Musk's thread with coverage around the world. This is the future, not GSM cells. The coverage of this SIM card is small. It cannot be used in most of the world. I think it has to do with country restrictions. In some countries, it may be convenient, but in general, a small alternative to local SIM cards + VPN.
I'm not sure, I've never actually tried to get just a card from a cell phone store. The teenagers running the place only know how to sell phones, and they can barely handle that.

You know your going to get hard labour in North Korea saying that 😝
It seems to me a very little solar panel. Does the camera have a big battery?
I forget what size the battery is, I haven't had an issue with it though. Worked all through the winter!
What data package did it deliver finally? And how do you top it up?
It's the 12GB plan that initially showed up, good through the end of the year. You can top it up on their website when you put in the card number.
Probably what the MN DNR Eagle Cam used.

I think most SIMs are on just one carrier, unless that's changed in the last few years. Some phones can do dual-SIM and use two different carriers.
We love to see our boy get paid
This is such a great review I'm gonna buy one of those cameras and an eiot sim for it
You need a coupe of goats to mow the lawns your country, you get it
Amazing video as usual

Another great video!
Why does YT show up in Chinese? What IP are you getting? Super weird, I have never seen anything like that SIM card wise.
APN=Proxy
neat ! well done . thank you
Thank you so much for such a comprehensive review!
so does it mean i can buy this sim card, put in it my phone and then, travel around US with wifi?
with what 12gb as an example you would eat it very quickly, example I have went through 67.5GB this month so...
What part of WI are you in i used to live in Appleton and born in neenah and grew up in menasha
I'm actually in St. Paul, but Sandland is in Western Wisconsin.
@@saveitforparts that's cool ! I was in Rochester last October I live in Rockville MD

HOw much more economical is it to buy these than say t-mobile data cards?
I'm not sure, I've never actually tried to get just a card from a cell phone store. The teenagers running the place only know how to sell phones, and they can barely handle that.
honestly for me it's very likely not that cheaper, I can get 25GB for $20 monthly
The EIOT SIM card is a severe security issue.
I'd be waaaaay more concerned about the US government and businesses. China? Bah...
China is now literally watching you😂😂😂
Just the thing for them to relay data from their spy balloons.
Careful you will end up in a Chinese overseas police station
your beard is awesome
I wanted to say the same
I wish they had them in Canada.
They are getting SCREWED with data rates.
☮
Lmfao why would u fr wish they had chinese spyware in canada 😂😂
@@moneybilla Bye troll.
✌️
LOL. Defaults because it thinks you're in China. Yeah, that's not a RED FLAG at all. LMAO.
Stark Meadows
a collection of trampolines?
They show up free on Craigslist when people's kids get bored with them, so one of the volunteers keeps grabbing them and setting them up in the field!
Tramampoline! Trabampoline!
SO valuable and SO fast!!!! :) :)
Lol, maybe look around your house occasionally
Crap company barely works where I need it too.
That "weird carrier" that's not UPS or FedEx is *probably* Amazon Logistics.....
It could have been, I know at work we never see the same Amazon delivery person twice. I think they all hate it so much that they quit immediately.
