Thank you, as a SoCal native and live-long beach-goer, I enjoyed this. I'm going to watch your other vids now because of this. Great job!

Great work, Erika! I'm not sure we met while I was at UCSC, but I was a grad student of Don Potts in EEB and SCWIBLES fellow and knew of you. I'm now teaching Marine Biology at Mt. San Antonio College in SoCal and am requiring my students to watch your intertidal, beach, and estuaries videos! Great introductions to these ecosystems! Thanks for making these great videos!

Great video, great content and stoked to have this as a resource to show my students a California intertidal zone. Some terminology is incorrect though. Plural of octopus is octopuses. The word origin is Greek as opposed to Latin. Also the test of a sea urchin is an endoskeleton as opposed to an exoskeleton.

Soo amazing your knowledge, an I can tell you genuinely appreciate the life in the Intertidal,
Looks quite similar to the west coast of new Zealand would be great to go exploring with u to learn more. We have a massive sand drift from the south raising an flattening the beach, an it's so interesting how it's destroying intertidal life that's been there for all my 35 years .
It looked like you had some bull kelp up ther? Durvilla I think it is beautiful stuff, we also have some crazy sponges in the intertidal with iridescent colors an ther HUGE
    Keep up the great work.
