You're welcome!
Ty!!
Wonderful. Thanks so much! Terrific stories and insight into the world of the 1940's or so. Boy they drank often in those days!
Thanks for listening
I’m really enjoying listening to these lovely stories . In fact I listen to them every day so I wish there were more choices…. Can’t have enough of them!
Loving these plays too. I can get on with things and still enjoy the full experience of these wonderfully expressive actors.
Great story and performance. Thanks for sharing.
A great story - I enjoyed this one a lot - it was indeed complicated. Indeed very complicated but
very enjoyable nonetheless . Just one very tiny criticism two/ three characters were older than
the parts they were playing you could tell from their voices but it didn’t spoil the story. Thank you s o much 😊
This one seems like it's a mirror image of Paul Temple and the Spencer Affair. Same story for the most part, except the Temples meet a man on a train whose Daughter is murdered (strangled), are asked to investigate and instead of a postcard it's a record that they are seeking and instead of a magazine article pointing to a mysterious woman called "Europa" it's a man who turns out to be the reason behind the son's attitude change to his fiancee. Enjoyable nonetheless! Thanks for uploading!
Modern audiences may not know that suicide was a criminal offence in those days, hence the survivor's concern about someone seeing her note.
The English manners are enjoyable if sometimes cringe worthy through a current lens. These stories suffer from the "Jessica Fletcher" syndrome: when the Temples are around lots of people are gonna die, cars will explode and drive-bys will happen. What insurance company will give the Temples auto insurance???
And smoked even more.
