“One of the top jazz pianists in the world” (The Los Angeles Times) Philadelphia-born pianist Kenny Barron is a six-time recipient of Best Pianist by the Jazz Journalists Association, who has recently released his latest trio recording, Book of Intuition. Hungarian-born Romani musician Robi Botos is a disciple of Oscar Peterson’s mighty sense of swing and technical virtuosity. His latest CD, Movin’ Forward, was nominated for a 2016 Juno Award.

Hopefully no one is skipping The first trio. They are true masters. Very much worth the listen.
If there's one word to describe Kenny Barron's piano playing, it's finesse, not to say class.
Kenny Barron touches his keyboard with great delicacy and infinite respect, and the keyboard returns the favor by giving each note its full meaning.
Kenny Barron gives the impression of a musical introvert; everything is given over to his inner musicality;
No facial expressions to distract him.
No glee expressed for fear of being appreciated for something other than his music.
His sense of harmony is rare and his musicality unique.
I love this virtuoso pianist with his inventive, melodic playing, and above all I love his music.

Agree. I just found him from a random search of a tune I liked, and have been blown away with this sense of groove, harmonic complexity, and beautiful free lowing lyricism.
