I hate that the square film is so overpriced, too. I love Polaroid film, but like Marty Mitch said it's definitely more expensive. I have a Lomo'Instant, too, and even though I love the look of the SQ6 I'll usually go for that because you can find the Instax Mini film cheaper than the square film. :/ But there are usually good deals if you look around, especially on eBay or people on OfferUp or something trying to sell their film.

I thought about buying a vintage model, but the price of the stamps and the fact that the quality is somewhat "whimsical" put me off... I also noticed Fuji SQ20 although it's not 100% faithful to the concept of instant photography (but you can save plenty of money). What Lomo have you got? I like the Magellan glass but can't stand that vignette effect... 😤😤

The tripod socket is so simple but opens up a world of possibilities with the self timer! This camera is amazing! I need to get more film ASAP to play around outside and so WAY MORE double exposures. Here the thing I go to the store there was so many mini and I was so confused and lost what is the difference all they all the same I want to by the mini. But I really do like the fujiflim instax sq6 cause of the filter.

The SQ6 released with all these creative preset settings for different situations but then when it came to the instax wide 300 they just removed everything? As much as I love the wide it kinda doesn't make sense why they would remove all these features
Sometimes there is a learning curve with using different instant cameras. I’m sure after playing around and figuring out what works and what doesn’t you’ll get the hang of it. Just don’t give up. It’s so worth it.
I did learn my lesson with I buy the photo printer and it show it won't printed somethings like that. And my sister told me I have on a wrong way the yellow side is up.
is the viewfinder accurate with the finished prints? not on macro mode or not shooting at close distances. i’m having problems with mine. sometimes the printed photos have extra spaces on either of the sides. is this normal or should i have my camera checked?
I love this video!! But I have a question, when you posed for your pictures , you mentioned you took your own pictures with the tripod . I was wondering how did you have the settings/modes selfie mode? Or , did you have it like as if someone was behind the camera ? More exactly, how did you make sure you would come out in the picture? And your head won’t be chopped off lol.

What camera i prefer is that the film is square.. but its fine to me if it's mini... also a camera with a tripod mount and a self timer so i think we have similarities of what kind of camera we prefer.. also i like the sq10 'cause it has a manual and auto print also the filters... that's it
Just saw this comment! Mine is like this too!! And I was googling up on pictures of the sq6 and in some you can see that it does sort of slant towards the left! I'm guessing its for correcting parallax errors..
When I place my camera on auto all my pictures seem to come off on the side , even if I look into the square and the people are in the middle . Is this normal ? 😣
I don’t know if you’ve gotten/found your answer yet, but yes it is normal. The viewfinder isn’t kind up with the lens, and isn’t “linked” with it at all. It’s just there to give you an idea of the shot you’ll be taking. So the people not lining up how you see them in the viewfinder or having a space on the side is normal
the SQ6 is basically the mini 90, just square. Actually the mini 90 has a feature that the sq6 doesn't, bulb mode. I can see you're not that into instant cameras.
Kevin Micallef aha alright mate, chill out. The SQ6 has a feature the mini 90 doesn’t - coloured filters on the flash. It’s also their cheapest square format camera so far. Sorry, I’ll change the title to comparison against mini 9 & not just mini. As I said in this video the only others I’ve used are the mini 8 & 9. I don’t own all of instax’s cameras, that would be a little excessive. 🤷🏼♀️

Kevin Micallef Indeed it’s their first fully analogue square format, already got that in my description ;) I’m assuming they are fairly similar in size? I haven’t actually added the strap yet, I just put it in my bag. Film I recently got from ASOS, they had 20% off everything so I got it for £8. Argos is £9.99, John Lewis has it cheaper for £8.95, actually just seen wex sells a twin pack for £16.99 :)

10 euros x 10 photos isn't too much. I use my sq6 only in special moment

the mini 90 isn't a normal mini, it is basically the sq6 just not square. Do research before buying something

My sq6 is ahm squeaking? Like if u touch the front plastic part a little u hear this squeaking sound. Is that okay? Or am i overthinkiinggg

That's called Parallax. You have to take the camera a little bit on your right hand side and put it up a bit to focus
