Within Texas Conn's has stores in Greater Houston, the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Greater San Antonio, Greater El Paso, Greater Corpus Christi, Southeast Texas, and South Texas. About 40 percent of all stores are stand-alone buildings, with the rest found in shopping strip centers and larger enclosed malls. On July, 26 2024, B. Riley Retail Solutions, LLC is managing the Chapter 11 bankruptcy liquidation event at 550+ stores across all 15 states that have Conn’s and Badcock and More locations in which all locations will be liquidated and closed this also include on line and on their website. Store furnishings, fixtures, and equipment are also available for sale, meaning they will be winding down and closing all of its locations, with liquidation sales expected to be complete by October 31, 2024. This will end the retailer from the retail landscape forever.

I remember going to Maas Brothers with my Mom from my teens to twenties. It was an occasional Saturday event. Every December 26th, we were there when the doors opened for the 50% off sale on Christmas decorations and cards. I have great memories of Maas Brothers. Our location had a restaurant or cafe, I think it was the Suncoast Grill. I could be wrong about the name. I wonder if the Grill was a part of other Maas locations or just the one in Gainesville?
