سر میں ایک چیز اکثر سوچتا تھا وہ یہ کہ ساوتھ ایسٹ ایشا (ملیشیا، انڈونیشیا، فلپائن، تھائی لینڈ سنگاپور وغیرہ) کے لوگوں کا قد چھوٹا ہوتا ہے. اس طرح سے چائنا کے وہ لوگ جو ساوتھ ایسٹ ایشا کے قریب علاقوں میں رہتے ہیں ان لوگوں کا قد بھی چھوٹا ہوتا ہے. جب کہ چائنا کے پہاڑی لوگوں کا قد قدرے لمبا ہوتا ہے. اسی طرح یورپ، امریکہ روس جو اکثر پہاڑی علاقے ہیں جو قطب شمالی کے پاس ہے ان کا قد لمبا ہوتا ہے. اس سے میں نے یہ اخذ کیا تھا کہ اونچے علاقوں میں زمین کی کشش ثقل کم ہے جس کے سبب قد لمبا ہوتا ہے. اس کی وجہ خلا میں لوگوں کا قد میں اضافے کو جواز بنایا تھا. آج میں اپنی ذاتی سوچ سے دستبردار ہوتا ہے. جو کہ غلط ہے. بلکہ قد میں اضافہ کی وجہ ہوا کا دباؤ ہوسکتا ہے. کیونکہ اونچے اور پہاڑی علاقوں میں ہوا کا دباؤ کم ہوتا ہے جب کہ کم اونچے علاقوں میں ہوا کا دباؤ زیادہ ہوتا ہے اس لیے اس کا اثر انسان کے جسمانی نشوونما میں اثر انداز ہونے والے عناصر میں سے ایک اہم عنصر ہوسکتا ہے. یہ سب میری ذاتی رائے ہے. اس حوالے سے اپ سائنسی حقائق پہ اگر روشنی ڈال سکتے ہے تو اپ کا شکرگزار رہوں گا.
