Some of the first color pictures came out before WW I Two-Color Technicolor was first used in 1922 for the MGM picture 'Toll Of The Sea'. In the 1929-1930 season, there were over 60 productions all in color (part or complete), be it Multicolor or Technicolor. Please google "History of Technicolor" for more information.
