  • This is an installation of a mudguard/rear tire hugger for my 2019 Versys 650. The mudgurad helps keep the rear shock and adjuster and the ABS assembly clean. I ordered the mudguard from Lazada. Music is an original test jam using my Tokai Cat's Eyes vintage acoustic guitar.
    Rock hard and roll safe!

Unfortunately it doesn't work (fender), when a Motowerx lowering kit has been installed,

Nice job! Makes you wonder why Kawasaki didn't have that already on? Also, the front fender is too short and should have been extended so debris doesn't hit the radiator. Shame on Kawai!

I didn't even know it was a plastic screw

Do you think the tab which screws into the place where the plastic plug was is necessary? I have the Motowerks lowering kit installed, and that hole is covered by the lowering block. I'd have to cut off that part of mudguard.

I think you should be fine without it. You will still have 3 mounting points to prevent horizontal and lateral movements

How would you recommended tackling that plastic screw? I just had a go and couldn't move it

What i did was try to pry it off a little bit to create space between the swingarm and the plastic screw head. This also gave me a bigger area to grip my needle nose pliers on. Then just use the pliers to twist counter clockwise and loosen the plastic screw.

@@guitarmotoph Thanks, in the end I used a fine saw blade to cut a groove for a screw driver, had to be careful not to mark the swing-arm though

@@jackthehat_ Mine has something that looks like a cable under the screw cap. I can't get it out.
